We had a lovely stay at the Whale Coast Ocean Villa. Super good breakfast and friendly staff. The ocean view from room 1 is amazing! Highly recommend staying here :)

Our stay at Whale Coast Ocean Villa was fabulous! This is the perfect place for exploring the Hermanus Cliff Walk and Grotto Beach. It is beautifully decorated, the breakfast was amazing, the staff warm and welcoming. Our stay was too short. Hope to visit again soon.

Perfectly peaceful!

Off the main tourist area so it was perfect for our extended stay. You could walk to the beautiful Grotto Beach and enjoy the cliff path. Beautiful in every way!

An superb choice

This is a fantastic guest house. Our room had a lovely balcony and view. Every detail was covered. Veronica and her family were so very welcoming. Great breakfast too.

Great place near Grotto beach

Whale Coast Ocean view guest house was perfect - felt like staying in a luxurious seaside home. Everyone was very helpful and welcoming. The location in Grotto Beach - quiet and very upmarket, but close enough to Hermanus and right on the coastal paths for great walks. Breakfast was fabulous- with great coffee! I would have definitely liked to have stayed longer.

I'm difficult to please let alone delight, and i rarely give 10/10. I'm happy to make an exception, because our stay was absolutely amazing. From check-in to check-out, with a delicious breakfast in-between, we were well looked after and extremely comfortable throughout our stay.

Quarto muito confortável, cama ótima, banheiro grande e limpo. Café da manhã mediano, mas bom. Foram deixadas duas garrafinhas de água cortesia, mas comparando com demais hotéis e guest houses, eram demasiado pequenas. Um pouco distante do centro de Hermanus, mas não comprometeu porque estávamos de carro.

Exceptional service, especially from Aurelie, who was very professional, personable, very helpful with great recommendations. The property is located within walking distance to the beach, rooms were spacious, and well-equiped (i.e. kitchen, etc.), breakfast was excellent.

Sehr schöne und einladende Unterkunft, mit einem angenehm persönlichen Flair. Checkin war super und wir wurden gleich gefragt wie wir gerne unser Frühstück am nächsten Tag hätten. Außerdem haben wir viele gute Tipps für Hermanus und auch für unsere weiter Fahrt bekommen. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können es wärmsten weiterempfehlen! ☀️

Lovely place to stay!

Absolutely lovely place to stay while in Hermanus. My partner and I agreed that it was one of the nicest places we have ended up in - we stayed in room 1 which has a great view, was very large, and was clean and comfortable. It is very close to a beautiful beach, a nature park and cliff walk. The staff were very friendly and we would be thrilled to stay again. My only note is that when there is load-shedding, the outside bell doesn't work so we got stuck outside for a little while with no way to access the building. We got in thanks to some other guests who saw us outside, but getting a bell that doesn't rely on grid electricity seems like it could be a good upgrade! Otherwise had such a lovely time, and thank you to the friendly man at the front desk for being perfectly polite and helpful!
