This cabin was great for our short stay in Helen. We were traveling with small kids so I wouldn’t say it was quite in walking distance to the downtown area, but definitely a super short drive. The beds are all really really comfortable!!
We enjoyed our stay at Honey Bear Hideaway! It was a great location, just outside of the busyness of Helen. We could see/hear people on the alpine coaster and was fun for the kids to see the house when going on it. The house was perfect for our families, enough room to spread out and plenty of space to enjoy each others company.
Awesome place to stay, loved the bar downstairs. Plenty of room for a big family if needed. Very close drive to downtown Helen. Slightly out of walking distance for myself. Overall great experience.
We enjoyed our long weekend with family visiting Helen, GA. The cabin was great, it had plenty of room for our family of 8, everyone had some space. It was also close to the activities and stores in Helen. Communication with the host was easy and she kept us up to date on everything. We would definitely stay here again.
Our week here was wonderful, it’s got a large driveway that fit all our cars and a lovely backyard to hang out in. The patio on the lower level was beautiful along with the sunroom above, both have great views. The house was super clean, spacious and the bar was a lovely touch! We hope to stay here again next year for volks fair!
We came to Helen to attend Oktoberfest. The cabin was a great location as it was very close to town. It was super clean, was very well stocked, and we loved all the room to spread out. We loved the setting, being nestled back in the woods. Even though there were other cabins in the area, it felt very private. Before we arrived I had messaged the owner, Brigette, a couple of times and she always responded very quickly with answers to my questions. Would definitely stay here again!
Everything was beautiful! We relaxed and enjoyed our family. Everything was super close but you felt like it was very private. We will definitely be back.
Very close to Helen mountain coaster and mini golf. A lovely place to stay! Lots of space to gather and enjoy each other’s company! The basement was built for a saloon-ike party, with foosball and darts but there was also a fireplace room and a tv room in which to gather. Wooded but not too isolated.
Very beautiful setting....Close to town...Comfortable accommodations....Very engaging / responsive host ....Betty's IGA in town is the bomb....gals go shopping while the guys sit on the porch for an adult beverage.
We are a group of guys that have been camping together for over 20 years. We know each other’s family and spouses know it is a time for the guys to get away. That being said, we have started renting cabins the last 5 years as none of us are getting younger. This cabin is hands-down the best location we have found. It is really pretty and had enough room for all of us. It is also extremely close to Helen, in case you forgot something. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to rent a beautiful place in Helen, Georgia.
Very clean home, roomy, nice outdoor area. I wouldn't say it is walkable to downtown Helen. It is straight up hill going back. We had a great time but had to drive to downtown.
Great place to stay! Clean, easy to access and parking is great for multiple cars nice neighborhood
This place is tucked in the mountain but close to town. Only suggestion I would give is rent a golf cart. We rented one the second day but wished we had rented one from the beginning. The golf cart makes it easy to get around town.
Host was quick to respond
Will rent again

Brigette was so helpful. We enjoyed the snacks that she left out for us. The property was very accommodating to our group. We had just a couple of things that we noticed. Which was the stove had three working eyes and that the oven wasn't clean. There is a slow leak in the upstairs master room. There were spider webs in and outside of the house. We killed three spiders inside. Some of the dishes were dirty. We had to clean before using it. We cleaned the front porch and dumped the bucket that was filled with cigarettes. The downstairs patio needs to be clean. It would have been nice to sit out there. Overall, our stay was great. Just some minor things. We would come back again.
The property is set back and hidden on the side of a huge hill. We arrived after dark and had a bit of trouble finding it, but the owner quickly responded to my call and gave me explicit directions.
It was very rustic and designed with the surroundings in mind. The lower patio and the fire pit area appeared to have not been used in some time. The front patio was nice and roomy and there was considerable space for parking.
Inside was an inviting kitchen and large dining room table that sat up to six. Two dens were available but only one offered the large screen television so we spent some time in it watching movies.
There were four bathrooms and four bedrooms. Plenty of space for my family to stay; as well as, find space of their own when needed.
On the bottom floor was a bar, television, Foosball table and a dart board. They also have a washer and dryer.
Walking to nearby attractions is an option if you are in decent shape; however, the climb back up is a little steep.
We visited the nearby Falls, Big Daddy’s, Bodensee Restaurant, the amusement center, and several shops. Betty’s Grocery and bar was enjoyable and had many unique items to buy and taste. A band was playing in their Biergarten on Saturday.
Upon returning to the property at night, we felt at home and enjoyed talking about the time we had spent together.
I would highly recommend this place to any group needing a relaxing and an inviting place to rest after a long day of fun and excitement in Helen, GA.
The cabin was beautiful, and very well maintained. The area was wonderful! The host was so helpful and welcoming. Overall we had an amazing experience!
Awesome stay, the multiple places to gather and play games together as a family made the best core memories possible. We played in the treehouse room the first night and by the fire on the second night.
We had a lovely time at Honey Bear Hideaway, the location is excellent for tourists. We enjoyed the home immensely was nice, big, and best of all we were able to travel with our Huskies. This was just what we needed for a relaxing vacation.
This was our second time to stay here, and it was just as great this year as last year. I love that there is so much room to spread out. Everything was so clean and inviting. We were even able to walk into town...although coming back up the hill can be a little challenging.
