House was cozy and in a nice, quiet area outside of town. We were able to pick up pizza from a place a few miles away one night, grill on the bbq another, and enjoy the hot tub. We had an excellent experience and would recommend to a family or other small groups of friends!
The house was exactly as described. Perfect location close to loads of hiking trails, breweries and wineries. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all the tools one needs and in good condition. The property is large and in a quiet area. The only thing we didn't like was the ice and well that is only to be blamed on mother nature. :)
We booked this house for a weekend away with our adult children. It was a great house, close to several restaurants and wineries. The kitchen was equipped with what we needed to make our own pizzas one night, we used the smart TV for shows and movies, plenty of seating in the living room, and a large table to sit around and play games. The owner was great at communicating. We planned to use the hot tub but ran out of time. I think we want to book again in nicer weather so we can enjoy the outdoor space next time. Great weekend! Thank you!
Mom and Dad weekend with adult kids and their girlfriends
The parents arrived the night before and had a short hike and dinner in Watkins Glen. The next day, the kids and their girlfriends arrived—the 30-something’s fell in love with the place. The house is perfectly located to visit wineries and breweries—it’s all so close! We swam at Smith Memorial Park (2 minutes away), walked the Gorge Trail in Watkins Glen State Park (16 minutes away), rented a boat at the Anchor Inn and cruised around Seneca Lake (18 minutes away), and watched the sunset from various spots along the lake including the house’s veranda. The house met the needs of a busy group, but also allowed for long, lingering coffee and breakfasts on the veranda, afternoon swims in the pool, and excellent bird watching—one of the girlfriends is an enthusiastic bird watcher and she added new birds to her list each day. Our stay was lovely, and JC was in contact by email checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. A true 5-star rating from my family!!
I will start with the positives:The home was spacious and had a great yard for the dogs. We were very grateful that we could bring them and they could be comfortable! There were 3 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The living room and kitchen were also spacious and were great for what we needed. The host was responsive to us and addressed chemicals in the hot tub within a few hours of us contacting them.Negative:The towels (specifically in the downstairs bathroom) smelled horrible. They smelled very strongly of scented laundry detergent and cigarette smoke. We decided to purchase towels and wash in our own detergent as we are extremely sensitive to fragrances. The washing machine was subpar at best. There were dirty towels inside of it which led to a musty smell. The washer continued to give error codes as we tried to use it which makes us unsure if anything was actually clean in the home. The clothes/towels that came out of the washer also smelled musty. The vanity top in the downstairs bathroom did not appear to be secured to the vanity itself. That could be an issue with kids as it moved easily. The downstairs bathroom was also missing a light bulb in one of the lights. We noticed throughout the main floor that there were light switches that did nothing so we are not sure if more lights just has bulbs out or not.Overall, I think the photos were misleading about the kitchen. A new washer and non scented detergent are a must!
Great property and amenities. Every room was comfortable, and you could easily come together with friends and family in any of them to just hang out. Very responsive owners, great communication.
This house was a very nice set-up for us (a couple w/a dog) - lots of space to play, rest, and relaxation. The huge yard was wonderful for our small pup to explore! The house has been nicely updated and is well appointed. The bed was very comfy. The host (mgt company) was very responsive and we appreciated that they sent a plowing service to clear out a few inches of snow we got during our stay. The house is off a main road, but it was generally quiet since there weren't many cars. It is very convenient to local wineries and breweries; and we had no trouble getting to all of our favorite hikes and destinations easily. Great location!
Overall very pleased with the property. Great views and location. House was clean but could use some updates with the furniture. Wish there was a tv in the master bedroom.

Birds, butterflies and pool!
We'd definitely stay again. It was nice. My family had a fun time at your beautiful house, especially watching the birds and swimming in the pool. The flowers smelled so beautiful while swimming and we were even able to observe humming birds and butterflies while in the pool. Your porch was perfect for simply sitting, so enjoyable and relaxing. Plus the house is very close to one of our favorite places to visit.
Secluded but centrally located with great amenities
We had a great time during our 5 day stay over the 4th of July. The house was fully stocked with everything you could want or need. We loved the pool and hot tub and enjoyed sitting on the huge deck due to the great view.We used the grill and liked the private nature of the setting. We explored the area, hitting wineries, good restaurants,a cheese place and the outlets. We would stay at the house again. JC was very helpful the whole time.Ken L
We had a really lovely time! The house was great! Perfect for a group of friends in town for a wedding. The house had everytime we needed. We didn't play games in the basement much because it smelled strongly of "basement." And I will say, a check out time of 10am is rough. And there is zero flexibility with that, which is a bummer. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were not the greatest. I woukd recommend your own, if you need something with fluff.
When we pulled in, I noticed the lawn had not been mowed recently. Once we were inside, we were happy. I was unable to take advantage of the game room as it was in the basement (which was slightly damp) and I have asthma. Otherwise we enjoyed the pool tremendously in the 90 degree heat.
