Great location, great home, lots to do in the area and at the home. Cooked many meals at the house, ate dinner out only once to celebrate 3 family birthdays. Rented a pontoon boat from Anchor Inn one afternoon (awesome time on the lake) and did a couple wine tastings. Wagner was fantastic! Also check out Lakewood for excellent wines as well. Sitting on the porch and in the living room looking out across the lake was perfect. And lots of cornhole games on the front porch. Perfect stay for 8 adults from up and down the east coast. Loved it!
This home leaves you speechless with its beautiful view of the lake. It is kid friendly and has lots of room for guest. The house is nicely furnished and newly renovated but still makes you feel at home! There were even snacks as a welcoming gift. I will definitely be coming back!
Our stay was truly memorable, especially for its stunning sunsets and outdoor activities on the lake. The large covered porch gave us an amazing view of the water, and occasional bald eagle, making it the perfect spot for morning coffee or to unwind in the evenings.
With a family ranging in age from 6 to 71, we were able to all enjoy the various parts of the property. The private waterfront was ideal for fishing and swimming, and the provided kayaks and paddleboards made for a fun time on the water. We also enjoyed the spacious lawn and fire pit for evening gatherings and kickball.
The location was great as well. Watkins Glen was just a short ride away with access to grocery and convenience stores, boat rentals, and plenty of breweries and wineries within minutes. The owner was very helpful and accommodating providing suggestions and catering to any requests that we had. Overall, the combination of the beautiful views and outdoor activities made our vacation very enjoyable and great to come together as a family.
Location is great, lake view with access to beautiful lake. However the house needs a lot of work. First of all the owner needs to find a good cleaning company because we when arrived it looked like it wasn’t even cleaned, dust everywhere, dirty toilet seat, garbage under beds, dirty sheets. Secondly, all bedrooms and bathrooms had no locks and One of the bedrooms had a door standing next to it with no hinges to put it on and one bathroom had a hole instead of a lock with two spoons going through it in casw you have to go you hold the door from the i side. The dining room furniture looks like its about to fall apart. There are no blackout shades nor drapes, just assorted sheers on windows so no privacy and you have to wake up at subrise. Lastly, this house although looks like is in process of ongoing renovation, is very old so no insulation and When you walk or talk everything to a word is heard everywhere.
Our visit was beautiful, calm, and relaxing. We enjoyed every moment at this place. The owner was very helpful and easy to reach whenever we needed. We also appreciate that this is a historic house in the process of being renovated to make guest’s experiences even more comfortable.
A beautiful stay in wine country! The moment we walked into the living room, our breath was taken away. It's a gorgeous view of the lake in a quiet neighborhood. The home is classy and spacious, and Shaun made sure we were comfortable during our stay. He is a responsive host, and we would love to stay again!
We booked this house for a weekend away in the Finger Lakes and it was perfect. The home is stunning, and is perfectly situated right on the water. It was close to Watkins Glen and was right on the Seneca Wine Trail. For the home itself, it was a perfect place to stay. Spacious, well kept, extra amenities like a grill, a beautiful wrap around porch, and kayaks! We loved our time here and would love to come back. Highly recommend !
We were in town with family and friends for a race and loved our stay here. The wrap-around porch with rocking chairs overlooking the lake was so magical. The host was very easy to work with, communicative, and accessible. The also had fishing poles, a canoe, and games. We would definitely come back!
This is a beautiful, old Victorian home going through the process of renovation. We were a family of 10 and the space met our needs for the past two weeks. We truly enjoyed the expansive front porch, the level access to the lake, the friendly community and boating and swimming activities in the lake.
We had the most amazing weekend at this beautiful property! The home was spacious, and had everything we needed for a fun and comfortable stay. The location was perfect, and the atmosphere made it the ideal spot for our celebration. Our host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and truly made the experience unforgettable. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. We are already looking forward to coming back for a reunion to see how the property has been polished even further.Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for the perfect getaway!
House was great, spacious inside and out. Owner was more than helpful and easy to get in touch with including fast responses. We rented for a 3 day weekend ( myself and family ) to say final goodbyes to a recently deceased family member and it was just what we needed. Little to no issues or complaints. We plan to rent the same property in the future
We were very happy that when we arrived, we were met by the very nice host who explained the boundary lines of the property and beach front, and gave us a tour of the house. The kitchen was well-stocked with most of the items that we needed, but we did purchase a regular coffee maker and several pitchers for drinks. Also, we could have used a few more large serving/wooden spoons, but we managed very well. The kitchen was very pretty and there was plenty of seating for the 13 of us to eat our meals between the dining room and kitchen.

Beautiful location, poor execution
The property was beautiful and you couldn't ask for a better location. However, the beauty of the property couldn't hide the poor fit and finish. The upstairs bathroom's shower and tub were unusable because of drain issues, thus it isn't a 3 bathroom house. The dishwasher wasn't secure to the cabinet causing concerns with using it. Due to issues with the well, we were told not to drink the water, so we had to buy gallons of water during the week. We contacted the property manager about these issues, but none of them were addressed during our stay. This place has a ton of potential and if the issues are addressed, it will be a great place to stay.
