Rooms need a good clean Mold and insects, desk staffed got it cleaned Probably overpriced during tourist season

The Scotsman Hotel is one of our most favourite hotels. The rooms are spacious and clean and all the staff are fantastic. Breakfast is delicious with lots of options. The Grand Cafe attached to the hotel has great food and staff as well.

The room (4) looked like it had seen better days, especially the shower room which was quite dull and needs some TLC or a complete refit. Air conditioning was noisy in this room particularly and there is a significant dip on the mattress which needs changing as it’s quite a state. Made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. We were aware of the club downstairs but it didn’t bother us. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant and bar lovely as were the staff.
