「A very comfortable country pub, with great food, top chef and well kept beer. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. My room was a tad small and basic but the bathroom was modern and hey this is a 16th century building and I enjoyed my stay.」

「Really nice and regrettably brief stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast ran by a lovely couple. I was made to feel at home from the start and the hosts went out of their way to help make my stay as comfortable as possible (including an offer of a lift to a local pub!). Breakfast was really high quality and ample. I will definitely look to stay again! Thank you!」

「Our stay was generally good. A couple of comments. Our hot tap in Room 8 was stuck and not working and the plug sockets were strangely placed in room meaning the kettle could only be operated balanced on a chair or inside the cupboard.」

「Had a great stay, had a lovely welcome, really comfy bed in a lovely cottage suite (room 11). Had everything you could need for a self catering stay. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. Car parking included was a bonus. Would highly recommend with only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Bury St Edmunds. Would definitely stay again」

「No towels ,just tea towels ,no hot water, no milk or spoon to make tea or coffee ,I stayed for 5 days ,no one came to do anything ,they didn't empty the bins or change sheets or give you a floor mat,」
