The Beach House at Drifting Sands

"Enjoyed stay here. Room was large and clean. Walk to the beach was under 5-10 mins. Located near walkable stores, restaurants etc. Parking was sizable never had a problem getting a spot. I’d definitely return. Nothing fancy but perfectly fine for a quick LBI visit."

"Overall a very nice stay in Surf City. The place is nicely appropriated, it was very clean, the host is responsive, and the location is great - 1 block walk to the bay and only a couple to the ocean side. The back yard has lots of amenities as does the inside and there’s plenty of space. The only downsides that really can’t be helped were: 1) The street is just 1 block away from the end of central ave, so when driving up and down the island via central you have to go to LBI blvd and do a u-turn. 2) There was a family of 4 staying above us with two very rambunctious toddlers - so little feet and early morning wake ups make for early mornings for all parties upstairs and down.3) LBI in general in late summer has lots of bugs due to how humid it is. Unfortunately it leads to mosquitoes outside and tiny “noseeums” inside - can’t really be helped even with our cleaning and trash minigation, but it was annoying - a zevo plugin might help. Overall a good stay but as I said, the gripes are minimal - just stuff you can’t really help too much."

"Overall the space worked perfectly for our large extended family. We had an issue with the fire detectors going off in the early hours of one morning and while the property manager was non responsive when we reached out to the owner of the house the issue was resolved within a couple of hours. One very large issue that was brought up to the property manager and to the owner and was ignored by both was the lack of water pressure on the third floor. At times there was little to no water coming out of the kitchen sink, bathroom sinks and showers. This happened even when there were no other showers occurring on the other floors as well. It occurred through the entirety of our stay. We also had issues with the linens not having complete sets (missing pillow cases) which happened with more than half of the sets. Overall the property was clean but you could tell they’ve cut corners with the bathrooms where the toilets, sinks and showers didn’t look clean (soap scum present and hairs in the shower). Some things in the house need a little TLC but overall nice. The location was the absolute best thing about the house. It was a quick walk to the beach, shopping, coffee shops, etc."

"Amazing beach front property that was perfect for our extended family beach vacation. One of the few beautiful homes that accommodated our two dogs so they could join family vacations they even had gates in the garage to help us childproof for kids under 2!"
