"The property states pet-friendly however, there are many conditions that aren't made clear at the time of booking. First, it's not made clear that the whole hotel is not pet-friendly. In fact, the pet-friendly aspect is only for specific rooms. At the time of booking the stay, it doesn't specify which rooms these are. To our surprise, the "pet-friendly" rooms were only the suites which was a CAD $60 surcharge to the already "deluxe" room we'd booked. In addition, this was only made to our attention two hours before arriving at the hotel. This was particularly annoying because the whole reason for choosing the hotel was the lake-view from the balcony and upon the room switch, our room had no balcony and faced the parking lot. Great. Second, if I'm paying an additional fee of CAD $50 for a pet-friendly room, I expect that the fee is put towards the additional work put into cleaning the room. Understandable if that's the case. However, my partner and I found that the room was filthy with dog and human hair all over the bed. The room was otherwise in fair condition and the location was good, hence the two stars instead of one. Regardless, I will not be staying here again. "

"The staff are courteous and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. This hotel is located in a noisy area with a busy highway on one side and an active municipal airport on the other. If you’re a light sleeper bring ear plugs so the noise won’t bother you. Otherwise a very good stay."
