Payne's Lakeside Cottage with Private Beach

Wake up to a beautiful sunrise on peaceful Bertha Lake. Enjoy your time on the private beach, off the dock, or with the many outdoor activities Clare County offers. Children love to play in the sand on the beach or go swimming off the dock. Bertha Lake is home to many fish ready for the catching! Based on the season, fishing, skiing, tubing/sledding, golf, or off-road trails are all options. Back at the beach house, cozy up next to the bonfire and enjoy some s'mores on the lake.
The space
When entering the property, you will walk down the stairs to the main entrance. When entering the house, you can hang your coat up on the coat hanger behind the door. As you walk in, you will see the kitchen, coffee bar, and a beautiful dining area. Off the dining area are the sliding doors that lead to the porch and gazebo, which are great areas that overlook the lake. To the left of the kitchen, when you walk in, is the living room, which includes a fold-out couch and TV. The two bedrooms are connected to the living room. One room has a queen bed and the other has a full bed. The bathroom is also connected to the living room and includes a shower/bathtub, toilet, and sink. Shower and beach towels are both available.
Guest access
You will have access to the entire beach house and the backyard. The private beach and dock are also available to our guests.
