"Room was very spacious and really appreciated all the storage and the large bathroom vanity. The patio with water view was a really nice feature. We heard lots of trains going by and thought we'd be bothered by them at night but with the sliding glass door closed we didn't hear anything. They were not able to serve the usual breakfast due to the recent storm but the receptionist was very apologetic and nice about it. Easy check in process and great location for I Diana Dunes National Park."

"Asking for housekeeping to pick up trash usually met with refusal. Because the desk gave out only 1 roll of toilet paper at a time, people were inconvenienced, and the overworked staff had more work."

"We arrived August 14, 2026. We were assigned a room, we went up to our room and it was dirty. Came back downstairs the lady at the desk said that they were sold out. There were no available rooms. She was there by herself housekeeping had left and she would have to clean the room herself. I suggested she talk to a manager and possibly give us a room that was ready for someone who has not arrived yet. That’s exactly what she did. She was very apologetic and very helpful. I appreciated that we were giving a new room quickly. The room we were given was fantastic. A huge suite that was modern clean and beyond our expectations. It was room 222. I appreciated how helpful she was in a very stressful and unfortunate situation."
Furness Mansion

"We had a comfortable stay at the Furness Mansion. Very close to Indiana Dunes National Park and also nearby points of interest. The unit is spacious with free use of washer & dryer located at the entrance of the building. The only thing negative is the response time from the hosts. I sent a couple of messages and never received a response. My inquiries were not critical but a simple response would have been nice as a courtesy."
