Disappointed

Very disappointed with our choice of hotel. Upon check in, we were told that we could unload out in front of the hotel but, then would have to park in the hotel parking lot that was basically 3 blocks away behind a “yellow house with a Pelham sign”. The room was a disappointment also. From the tiny tv that wouldn’t stay upright (broken bracket?) to the very dirty shower curtain to the grossly dusty ceiling fan to the uncomfortable very squeaky bed; the room gave off an unpleasant feeling. These things, plus the fact that HB had already basically shut down for the season; caused us to cut our losses and leave after 1 night.

A home on the beach

An older building. It felt like southern charm. It was clean and cared for. It stood out above most of the places in Hampton, and it’s in the beach!!!

Excellent stay

Everyone was very friendly. Porch is perfect. Continental breakfast and coffee very good.

Extremely dated, The pictures were not representative of the actual condition. Roof deck was on top of building next store so it was Inconvenient.

Positive notes: 1. Very friendly and helpful staff. 2. Good size fridge. 3. Chest of drawers. 4. Table and chairs. 5. Right on the boardwalk. Negative notes: 1. No shampoo in the shower stall and none at the front desk! Bring your own! 2. Noisy neighbors in the lodge next door that I could hear through the wee hours. 3. The smallest TV set I had ever seen at any resort, with a 26” screen! 4. No screen on one of the windows, so it couldn’t be opened. 5. Shower curtain installed too high up so water got all over the floor from the gap below.

Check in was super easy. Parking is right around the corner for $10. But when you bring the parking pass back in the morning you get the money back. There were plenty of food options right in the area. The beach is right across the street. Even though it was the last day of the season we still walked the beach which is big and clean. The hotel is quiet and the pool was heated and open until 9pm.

Room was very clean, recently updated. Pool was comfortable temp. Very convenient to the beach and Ocean Blvd. Loved the porch and people-watching. Great weekend stay!

Hotel was really nice, amazing location, nice sun deck with beautiful views! Nothing fancy but decent sized clean rooms, the pool is pretty nice too! We will definitely stay here again!

When we arrived it was late (9pm) and front desk guy said to call if we needed anything. Well there was no towels or wash cloths. Just a used dish towel. I tried calling & of course no one answered. My husband tried going there too. So I start opening the cabinets looking to see if perhaps i could find a towel. All I do find is moldy food! Gross! I told the front desk in the morning & the women had housekeeping clean the room once we left for the day. And she brought us some trowels. I was upset and got no room discount(but I never asked--I don't feel like I should have had to.)I would NOT recommend.

Great place to stay

Front desk was very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and clean. Bed comfy and we really enjoyed our stay. Location is great too.

Second year we stayed here for the smuttynose rockfest. Perfect location for race participants convenient parking day before and day of event. Room was clean and comfy

Never again

This place is very dirty. There were stains on the linens. Dirt on the walls and filth all over the shower/ shower curtain. $400 a night for this “ luxury room” that still had the previous tenants food on the floor. I would never stay here again.

It was very old and not maintained very well. There was old vomit on the bathroom door frame and the floor was so out of level we thought we were in a V-8 commercial. We were very dissatisfied with the conditions and will never return there again.

Our balconies, while they are private, are designed so guests can enjoy expansive views in all directions from their balconies, and not have views impeded by high walls. The owners were very nice, but the people on vacation were drunk and loud until 2:30am. Bed was comfortable and the breakfast wasnt like the biker hotels, but it was a decent meal.

Good place to stay

Room was nice, but they moved us after our first night to a higher floor. They helped with the move but it was odd to have to shuffle all our stuff. The second room was a little nicer than the first.

We will occasionally accept a booking where a room has to be moved from one day to the next because of limited availability, but ONLY if the guest is aware of the move and agrees to it prior to confirming the booking. We try to make the move as painless as possible, with staff doing the move for our guests. We thank you for your understanding an look forward to having you stay with us again.
