Lovely

We had a lovely holiday. Houssem and Mahdi at the reception were very professional and helpful. The food was good, the desserts looked different but tasted the same. We loved the traditional Tunisian food it was very yummy. The cheese was very bland and was disappointed there were no natural fresh juices. The ones served at breakfast were terrible. There should have been a small coffee corner In the bedroom. Soundouss the cleaner was very friendly and made us feel at home. The entertainment staff is amazing big hello to Mira and kimo!! Thank you!

The Iberostar way in Yasmine Hammamet at Averroes. This 4 star hotel deserves and even exceeds its rating. Its location on the beach is excellent and provides safety and easy access to the neighborhood including a 15 min walk to the marina and a 10 min walk to Carthage land. I highly recommend this hotel and it’s typically sold out year around.

It's a pity that the Air Conditioning wasn't working perfectly. The restaurants did not have air conditioning unfortunately. The pool and the beach were wonderful .

For the second time we stayed at Iberostar Hammamet. The first time was about 3 years ago. Compared to other hotels in Tunisia, this hotel was among the best. The food variety at the buffet was great and tasteful. Also the staff takes cleanliness very serious and there is always somebody looking out for trash laying around. The beach side and the water is also perfect for a swim. There are no stones in the water or on the beach. In only 5 minutes you can reach hammamet south. The shows at night are also very stunning. Also the cocktail party on Wednesday is a nice event for a little get together with the guests and hotel staff. The animation team is very communicative and informs about the Programm and gets many guests involved. What can be improved is that the service at the restaurant wasn’t always the quickest. Sometimes we had to wait for a couple of minutes until a waiter finally set up tables for 6 person even though some of the waiters were just talking among themselves. Also over time the hotel needs some renovation to be done. But other than that we can sure recommend to stay at iberostar hammamet.

Early season break

Great break. We spent 8 days all inclusive in this great hotel. Super friendly staff and a location directly on the beach. Good quality food with variety, although the cocktails were a let down. If cocktails are not the most important part of your holiday then I thoroughly recommend! Cleaning standards were high in the room and the communal areas. A hard working animation team produced something different each night. It was very quiet as the week before the Easter break, but that was exactly what we wanted. An hour from Tunis and nothing much to see locally, so just enjoy the beach and the relatively small pool.

Needs improvement

The outside of the hotel was pretty with a lovely pool area and a beach right outside. Also the buffet had a variety of options and because I went during Ramadan, they had the buffet open at 3 am for those who were fasting. The staff were very friendly, and there was plenty of entertainment offered. However, the room AC was not good; hot air was coming out even after a worker tried to fix it and the pillows were not good quality, making it difficult to sleep. Also in the room there was no iron and when we asked, we were told we had to pay for clothing to be ironed. The prices were shocking, costing £12 to iron a dress. Moreover, no bottle of water was provided in the room fridge and there was no kettle in the rooms. - There were no shuttle services, only private taxis, which were too expensive (£40 just to get to the hotel). It's better to prebook a shuttle online, which only costs £6.

Friendly staff, nice view to the sea

Staff were very helpful and friendly. I’ll be back to this hotel because of the staff, beautiful beach, spacious room, and nice view to the sea. I want to mention two problems and I hope that hotel management finds this review as I hope that this hotel could improve to its best version. Housekeeping staff were very nice, but they need a supervisor to check their work on cleaning the bathtub especially when a guest just checks in to a fresh room. They had skipped cleaning the bathtub. It was not clean when we checked in to our room. They didn't check if any shampoo or other amenities are left in the bathroom. I had to call the reception twice to ask for hand soap and body wash as there was nothing left. I guess they just had not the routine to check these things. The hotel management needs to check the air conditioning system. Our room was in the fourth floor, but the smell of the frying oil and food preparation came from the kitchen to all the corridors in the fourth floor, almost inside our room by the door. Moreover, air conditioning in our room did not work and when I asked the receptionist they informed me that air conditioning starts running from 14th April. We stayed in the hotel 1st April till 6th. The problem was not that it was warm at night, rather I felt stuck in a room with no air flow. I didn’t want to keep the window open during sleep. We were generally satisfied with our stay because of the welcoming and nice staff. Thanks.
