BEAUTIFUL WATERFRONT HOME WITH BOATHOUSE AND HUGE PORCHES!

  • This beautiful home is located on a wide canal that's just minutes from the ship channel. The private 200 foot waterfront lot and large yard is all yours to enjoy! Your fishing guide can pick you up right from the back yard. The boat house has two stalls with boat lifts so you can pull right in after a day of fishing or crabbing, an outdoor pellet grill, a large area to relax and enjoy the beautiful outdoors, and a newly built climate controlled storage room with easy access from the driveway and boathouse (it has french doors on the front and back). The home includes 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and lots of extra space for large groups to spread out, including a downstairs game room with a pool table and huge upstairs and downstairs porches. The beautiful kitchen has all stainless appliances including a Jenn Air stove, dishwasher and oven, a microwave and refrigerator. It also has granite countertops and a large walk in pantry and is open to the living and dining rooms. Included for your convenience are two full sized washers and dryers. There's a live well in the boat house for storing your fresh catch or bait. The large porches on the front and back are a great place to hang out and enjoy the soft coastal breezes. The master bath has double vanities, a double shower with a steam bath option, and a walk-in closet. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and a large TV. The hall bath has a claw foot tub and beautiful finishes. Downstairs you will find a game room with a pool table and a gas fireplace. There's another fireplace upstairs in the living room. The home has a total of 7 TV's to accommodate all your needs. An enclosed garage offers storage space for all your gear. There's a commercial ice machine and a freezer downstairs for fishing and hunting needs and a boiling pot and burner (propane provided) to cook that fresh catch. This unique home sits on a large 1 acre lot with 200 feet of water frontage, which offers lots of privacy. Regular mosquito treatment means you won't be chased in by mosquitos while enjoying your home! The driveway is large and can accommodate many cars and boats (great for large groups). The home is amazing! You don’t need to bring a thing with you. The kitchen, completely full, I mean completely. The exterior is magnificent. Great sitting areas, upstairs and down . The added game room is a plus and the large ice making machine — WOW! There’s more room to park than you find at some stores. Our host, Tonia, super nice. Had to reach out to her for a couple of questions and she responded quickly and always sounded concerned. She made sure we were having a grand time.

Tonia is always the best host. The home is welcoming and well stocked. I would have to say the kitchen is prepared for people who want to cook! We love coming to this location out of everywhere we go.

Fantastic space for family reunion! We were able to gather together in the beautiful kitchen or downstairs patio. We were able to visit in quieter, smaller groups on porch or in game room. Everything was great including the communication with our host. I really can’t say enough about the beautiful home on the water, peaceful location, amazing sunrise & sunset views….I plan to meet with family there again next year!

Could not have been better for the 5 couples that were there. Plenty of space indoors and out. All the cooking utensils and grills that we needed. We are seriously considering getting the house for next years big chill. Most times we have 13 at least. Thanks for the easy response to my questions and the efficient way my stay was handled.

Best VRBO That I've Stayed In

I've stayed in a lot of VRBOs, and this one is by far the best appointed of them all. Tons of towels, VERY well appointed kitchen, tons of games/stuff for kids to do. The property owners communicated very well. We loved everything about it.

Wonderfuly Stay

Overall this is an incredible home. The pictures are just as accurate as the real thing. The vaulted ceiling, plenty of windows for sunlight, and multiple rooms for guests provided a perfect stay for us. Not too far away from social venues either! It had everything we were looking for, and the host was very attentive to our needs.

Thanksgiving and Family

We have Texas and Louisiana Family . The House was a perfect gathering space for us for 3 nights . Plenty of room ,very clean and everything we needed to cook a cajun style Thanksgiving . Tonia was great to communicate with and always available . We will be renting in the future.

Senior Trip

We are 5 seniors who completed high-school together in 1974. For the past 30 years plus we have had an annual reunion with VRBO. We have never had a more wonderful time than at the beautiful Gulfway House. It was very clean, so many amenities, spacious. It is the best of the best vacation rentals. We had so much fun in all the spaces especially the game room spaces. It’s a place for everyone and any occasion. Highly recommended!!

Family weekend getaway

I absolutely love this place there is enough room for all of us and we wasn’t on top of each other. She was very informative keeping me up-to-date with what was going on around the house or anything. She also has the house full of like things that people doesn’t think about packing, she saved me from over packing. I feel like when we go off the place like this I feel like I’m packing up like I’m going camping you have to bring everything that you could possibility think of well Miss Tonya had it covered for us .

Amazing house perfect for groups

My college friends and I (20+ years after graduation) get together once a year for a weekend of golf, fellowship, fishing, and mis-remembering the past. We chose this property for its size and amenities, and we were not disappointed. In fact we were blown away by how amazing everything was. The pictures do not do the house justice. I cannot say enough good things about this property, or its owners. The check in process was seamless, and the owners were accommodating and accessible. Do yourself a favor and choose this property. You and your group will not be disappointed.

Spacious Lake Charles Getaway

Our group absolutely loved the home. You are impressed before you walk in the door. Once you get inside, Tonia has done an amazing job with decorating the home. You feel both at home but in a space perfect for a family gathering, football weekend, girls trip or fishing trip. There is room for everyone to be together when they want to but to also find their own corner inside or out when required. The furnishings inside and outside are well done. Having the home on the water is great if you want to sit and watch the boats go up and down the canal, fish or just relax and enjoy the view. Having the option of separate beds in several of the rooms was ideal for our friend trip. We spent a lot of time in the kitchen which came with some Louisiana spices and all the appliances and pots and pans to make anything you desired. The pellet grill was put to use as well. Finally, Tonia, our host, was very responsive throughout the booking process, prior to our stay and during our stay. I’d highly recommend this properly for families or groups looking for a place near Lake Charles.

Host is a very good communicator - helpful every step of the way!! House is outstanding!! Every possible accommodation/accessory for a Hackberry fishing camp. Very private and well maintained. First class all of the way - we'll definitely be back!!!
