We stayed in Martyn's home over the summer and we were not disappointed, the property is located in a very quiet area of Haarlem but very close to the centre. A 10-15 minute walk into the centre through charming streets really does set you up for the a very special city with many beautiful sights, buildings and museums. We were met at the train station in Amsterdam by a private taxi that Martyn had booked on our behalf, after a short trip we arrived to meet his lovely mother, Caty who showed us around this wonderful property. A very spacious home that was more than big enough for three adults and two children with all the modern equipment needed for a lovely family holiday.
The train station in Haarlem is a 10-15 min walk away, so catching the train to Amsterdam is super easy. There are many local stores around but if you choose to use a supermarket we found Albert Heijn close by and good value.
We had great communication with Martyn before and during our stay, unfortunately I had an accident on our way from the UK and needed to see a doctor, it was great to have several conversations with him concerning the hospitals close by.
This property is fantastic and in a superb location, so close to Amsterdam but far away enough to relax from the the hustle and bustle of a major city.
We enjoyed Haarlem so much we wouldn't hesitate to go back and we, would make Martyn's home our number one place to stay if we did.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
