Deer Run Retreat Great fishing cabin!

  • Nice setting with scattered trees, lots of wildlife to watch while you enjoy coffee. Plenty of room for boats and pick ups to get around it has a large circle driveway . There is also a place to plug your boat in. bedroom with a queen size bed, 1 bath and large living room with a queen size hide-a-bed. Also a queen size and a twin size bed at the back of the large living room .There is even room for an air mattress too! There is a fire pit and grill to enjoy during your stay.
    Also there are no steps, great for elderly people or people who cannot climb stairs!There is also an outside dog pen available to use. (dogs not allowed in the house without permission)Only 1 mile to Ruark Bluff where there is a boat dock on one side of the road, and the beach on the other side of the road with children’s play area and picnic area.

Our stay at the Deer Run Retreat was great. It was super clean, quiet and cozy and a nice place to crash after spending the day helping family members who live nearby, with their home remodeling. We definitely would recommend it.

Going fishing

I found this property a few weeks prior to my trip and was surprised how close it was to the lake. The cabin was perfectly setup for visitors with all supplies readily available. I was very impressed how clean and organized the cabin was upon my arrival. Debra was very responsive in any of my questions. I'll definitely be back in the near future.

I absolutely loved the property! Woke Saturday morning walked outside to see a 6 point buck

I liked how quiet it was and the woods surrounding the edge of the property was full of life. The house itself was interesting. Plenty of space and very convenient location if you want to spend most of your time on the lake.

Great little base camp!

A few friends decided to do a little archery deer camp around Stockton lake and this was the perfect spot! Centrally located and had everything we needed. Debra was a great host. Thanks! Will stay again.

Great location

Location was as excellent. A quiet country setting and we could drive to boat ramp in less than 5 minutes. House was more than adequate with all our basic essentials. Host was great and a pleasure to deal with. Truly couldn't hope for a better experience.
