Unfortunately we didn't have time to explore the local area, we just knew the way to work sit and back and there was plenty of takeaways and supermarkets along the way. There is no cooking facilities so this is useful. All round spot on place. Would stay again if in the area. 100%"

"Old Carriage House converted into a wonderful apartment. We loved the location of this stay. We were just a short walk down from Colchester Castle and High Street, where we could find a wide range of pubs, restaurants, and shops. The city centre train station was just a short walk away as well. Thank you to our host for the awesome check-in and also for the lift to the "other" train station for our trip back into London. If we are ever in the Colchester area again, we will definitely stay...

Holiday Inn Express Colchester by IHG

Holiday Inn Express Colchester by IHG

8/10 Good
"It’s a holiday inn next to a garage with a Waitrose. It’s a fairly nice one tho. Lovely reception / dining area. Bathrooms superb. Tv a little old but ok. Heating not working but had an electric oil radiator. Food fairly poor and very expensive like similar holiday inns. Breakfast was ok. I’d stay here again tho if necessary."
