We had a lovely time just getting away and relaxing. The house is perfect for just that. We completed some puzzles and enjoyed the beauty of the surrounding s and the sounds of nature.
This was perfect weekend getaway. Great location and such a cute, clean, welcoming house! Can’t wait to come back with the kids and dog to enjoy the location and amenities!
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely little lake house while in town for the Nascar race which was an easy country drive to the event. It was nice to relax in the hot tub in the evening. Beds were comfortable. Very welcoming place with many extra special touches. Only wished we had time to take advantage of the lake and kayaks that were available.
Judi was amazing with all her amenities and lovely personable details! Come here for the hospitality ❤️ Judi was also extremely accommodating when asked for some extras - we will be back!!!
My husband and I loved the experience Judi provided. So many thoughtful touches to make this a relaxing time for us!
Beautiful, quiet, peaceful location with everything we needed.
I wish all Vrbo owners were as thoughtful as Judi. Thank you!
The cottage is awesome, comfortable, clean, and in a quiet area. It has everything you'd ever want for a home away from home. Communication with the property owner is timely and pleasant. I have rented houses, cabins, etc many times for my family and this is the best hosting experience I've ever had. We wanted for nothing during our stay. Okay one thing. The VRBO email I received with address information, access code, etc .. was missing the guest wifi password. One message to the property owner and I had it in 5 minutes. How can you beat that.If you are vacationing in the Jackson, Mi area and need a great rental house, you can't go wrong here. It even has canal access to Wolf Lake if kayaking is your thing.Would definitely recommend!
This location was a pleasant surprise- from the hot tub and fire pit with the wonderful landscape - the layout of the home was perfect.
We arrived late at night as we came from another state, the mailbox does not have a green identifier so please note it is next to mailbox 3098 if you arrive at night. In the daylight we felt silly that we could not see it, but it was challenging at night when tired. :)
The host was responsive and amazing. So nice to see the little extra touches to make our stay personalized. We really appreciated it.
We really enjoyed our stay. Loved all the little exters Judi had for us. Such a good host and quick to respond if we gad questions. It was nice having access to the kayaks and pedal boat. We definitely want to book again.
Enjoyed staying at Judi's adorable lake cottage. Very clean, comfortable beds and was stocked with everything you would need and more! Judi was a pleasure to communicate with and very understanding & accommodating with changes in dates. Would highly recommend & hope to be back again to enjoy this lovely place!
This place is everything advertised and more. House was setup with so many extras and the welcome wine was so nice. Beds so comfy and Judi is an amazing host. Will definitely return.
Great property. Very cute and clean house. Everything we needed was already there. I really enjoyed our stay. The only thing is the back yard was not very private. The neighbors were really close. But over all a great time and would stay again.
Nice house HORRIBLE communication- spend your money somewhere else
I rented this property back in April for 4 adults and 1 dog. The house seemed wonderful online and had everything we wanted- water toys, a pontoon, a hot tub, a grill, fire pit and easy access to the lake.
On the day of checkin I received a text from the host saying that the power had been out for the past 28 hours and that there had been 2 days of bad storms but to not fear and that the power would be restored by 3:15pm. At first I didn’t get too nervous because our checkin time was at 4pm and this shouldn’t have affected our stay. The host messaged me again saying that she didn’t have our pontoon boat we rented from her anymore- paid separately per her request. We were instructed to call a boat rental place and told we were on a list but this was a lie. The host ruined our weekend and caused us to scramble to find another rental option for the following day. Being so last minute the only place that had something available was double the cost and a decent drive away.
When we got to the property the host had said she left flashlights on site- which she did- but there was no electricity still. We had no wifi, no power, no water and no ability to flush a toilet all day Friday. Power was not restored until Saturday morning at about 530am and the host never once messaged me or called to see how my group and I were. I left 2 voicemails and never heard from her.
I attempted to message the host on vrbo’s messaging service multiple times and she did not reply. I attempted to call her, I left 2 voicemails, and she never respond.
My group and I were beyond uncomfortable Friday and my dog could not sleep. We were in unsanitary conditions and ultimately feel as if the money spent on this house was not justified. We were unable to use any house amenities Friday and paid to be in a hot box with the hope the power would turn back on.
For this, I advise everyone to book elsewhere as the chance of something going wrong with your reservation seem very high. Judi is not reliable and if you want a stress free vacation, your money should be spent elsewhere.
Extremely well equipped, everything you could ask for in the kitchen including tons of spices, a welcoming package of pasta and pasta sauce, baskets of snacks (Fritos, Doritos, potato chips and more). There was butter, water, soft drinks and a couple beers and she said we were welcome to any of it. The beds were comfortable, plenty of towels; both bath and beach. Enjoyed the hot tub and the stars were amazing but you had to stay real still or a motion activated spotlight turns on and ruins the star gazing. Only complaint I had is we rented the pontoon and it only has a 6 gallon tank and that was only 1/4 full so we could only go out about a half hour before we had to stop and run into town for gas (there's no gas on the lake and it's about a 10 minute drive to the nearest gas station). After using the pontoon for a few hours the next day we were near empty again and had to go back out for gas.
Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable trip.
So much more than can be explained in a listing. The ammenities at this home are above and beyond anything I have ever seen and I've been an avid travel renter for several decades. Any utensil, appliance, spice, condiment, first aid, cleaning product, a bottle of wine, beer, soad, coffee, tea, just FOOD .... this doesn't even begin to name it all! Very clean. Very functional and stylish. Absolulety everything that my mom and I needed for a lovely 4 night stay. Host also very responsive. You won't be disappointed!
My husband and I really enjoyed staying at this lake house! Judi is so so kind and made us feel so welcome. The place is really well stocked and comfortable. I highly recommend I staying at this home!
We had a short but lovely stay at this lake house. Unfortunately, we had a lot of rain so we were unable to enjoy most of the outside amenities but we did get in the hot tub! It’s very relaxing to sit in the back room and listen to the rain. When we woke up (early) with the window open, the sounds of nature reminded me of when I was in the rainforest, minus the monkeys. We got to kayak during the dry hours and it was one of the most beautiful rivers we have ever paddled! Lined in pink flower and lily pads. (If you are staying in July, paddle down the river that is to the right when you go out into the lake.) The garden is also quite lovely right now with all the blooming flowers. The kitchen was well appointed, which we appreciate because we cook a lot.
