Everything worked fine and we had a good stay. Nice beer! Only one, terribly minor, request for the future. The hotel had an arrangement that we had breakfast in a cafe over the road, it was a nice breakfast with a good range of options but only one cup of coffee included; we could have done with a second cup to send us on our way.

Lovely room in a nice pub; staff extremely friendly and helpful. Great breakfast over the road in the morning.

Fantastic stay at the Royal Oak. Really friendly staff, good food and lovely room. Would definitely return and highly recommend.

Clean, tidy and totally adequate accommodation, pleasant staff and good selection of ales in the bar. Breakfast served in tea room over the road. We arrived before our allocated time, and although the place was empty apart from one table of two, the proprietor suggested we were given a time for a reason and to come back later. Obviously missed the meaning of "hospitality" in the industry, or was unable to fry two eggs at once! Please stay at the Royal Oak, but dodge the Basil Fawlty breakfast experience.
