"Everything about this hotel was excellent. But the best thing of all was the breakfast. They had more items than I could possibly count. My favorite was the “Daniel Boone Inn” country ham. It’s the best around. They of course had biscuits and gravy, eggs, potatoes, hash brown casserole, fantastic coffee and 10+-varieties of bagels. It didn’t end there. I should have videoed it. If you’re going to the high country of North Carolina you should stay there and see for yourself."

"The lodge property is old time rustic, which was what we were looking for in the mountains. We made good use of the kitchenette in our room.
