Inaccurate Listing and Poor Communication
Unfortunately our stay in Granada did not pan out as we had planned. This apartment does not have keyless entry so the host has to meet you to provide keys. We notified the host of our arrival well before the one hour window he set. He was over an hour late to our check in leaving us stranded with our bags with no place to go after a very long journey and late to some reservations. Upon entering the apartment it was not in the advertised condition: peeling tiles, missing light bulbs, roaches, exposed outlets, missing shower curtain, exposed wires hanging from the ceiling in the bathroom, no hot water, and the power went out. We were unable to take hot showers or charge our devices. To make matters worse the host was extremely unresponsive after check in. We tried to reach out to him over several issues: WiFi information, the hot water, and the power going out. We never heard back from him until he showed up to the apartment the next morning with only 20 minutes notice at 8AM two hours prior to our check out time, incessantly ringing the doorbell, waking everyone up after a long night of trying to resolve these issues on our own, asking to come in. We denied him entry as at this point as several people were in the bathrooms or still in bed and we were so close to check out it no longer mattered. We reached out to the host after check out to express our disappointment and all he offered was a discounted stay next time we were in Granada. We have opened a case with VRBO.
