Bunkers Seafood Restaurant located next door, same proprietor, was great. The waitress even taught us how to eat whole boiled lobster. If you want the city excitement of Bar Harbor, you won't find it here, but if you are looking for REAL Maine, this is the spot. Schoodic Point offers better rocky coast access with very few people. We loved this...

Roomy, clean, and you felt like you were visiting family. Highly recommend and on our next trip we will be booking this property for longer than one night!"

"We would have appreciated some type of simple breakfast items to go with the coffee bar area in the check in area. Maybe a bowl of apples and a tray of wrapped granola bars... or bags of trail mix and some bananas. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast at the restaurant where the food was great, the service was excellent and the views were superb."

"This is a basic property and perfect for having a safe and clean place to lay your head after a day of hiking in Acadia National Park. It’s set on the water (Atlantic Ocean) … no beach…. Looks like a lake because of all the little islands)…and during low tide, you’ll see people out on the ocean floor digging for clams). Staff is helpful… beds are okay…. Good hot water for showers. No microwave and bathroom vanity space is small. There were two of us sharing. Like they say…. Location matters and this property is right on the scenic road to take you to Acadia National Park. We very much enjoyed the Farmstand Coffee House for breakfast every day… 5 minutes down the road."

"The property was very clean and close to Acadia, which was convenient! The property definitely could be upgraded, but it’s still in great condition and clean! Our dogs loved it and they have an area for them to take care of their business! The gentleman at the front was very warming and offered us advice on where to go and what to do in Acadia! "Property was very clean, host responded quickly to our questions. Cottage was lacking in some basic items if you plan to prepare meals. Would suggest the following items be added to the kitchen, pizza pan, cookie sheet And another non stick skillet. Also one burner on the range didn’t work and downstairs bathroom door needs some adjustment so you aren’t locked in as I was. Overall a good visit, but with some updates as listed above it would be great!!"
