Wake up each morning to the sights and sounds of the bay at this lovely, two-story home on the shores of Downeast Maine! Secluded and quiet, this four-bedroom waterfront vacation rental is the perfect place to watch the sunrise out on the deck, spend afternoons on the water, and welcome evenings with your loved ones as the stars come out overhead. Enjoy a well-equipped, full kitchen for easy meal preparation, dine overlooking the bay, and take a stroll down to the rocky beach. This home offers four cozy bedrooms for sleeping options, including one on the lower level and three more on the top floor.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

The floors were sticky and a blueberry was smashed on the kitchen floor along with a piece of fried food, indicating it was not cleaned. The lawn needs mowed. We could not use the fire pit or enjoy the lawn nearer the water due to the high grass, and two baby snakes were dead in the driveway (expected in the woods), but would be hard to see in the tall weeds. The dumpster was full and was not emptied our entire stay. The door to the deck handle was missing a screw and kept falling off. The igniter on the grill did not work. Vacasa was notified of all these issues, nothing was done while we were there.

A wonderful peaceful setting. Loved the quiet & the views . Lovely house. I few more forks & nicer coffee mugs would be nice. Just had to wash dishes every meal instead running the dishwasher once a day.

The house was a perfect size for the 5 of us traveling together. With 2 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms. And the view was absolutely beautiful!!

Not really 4 bedrooms

First and most importantly, this is not truly a 4 bedroom house. The two twin beds are in a hallway type room leading into what is supposed to be the master. The ramifications here are that you have to walk through this "bedroom" to get to the bathroom. The property is also very dated and in very poor condition generally. There are outlet covers missing, the dishwasher is falling out, and the deck is falling apart. The walkway to the "beach" is overgrown and the stairs down are falling apart to the point of being dangerous. Bottom line is I've stayed in many rental houses and at this price point, this one does not even come close to measuring up.

We had such a wonderful relaxing vacation at this Maine Cabin. Tucked away in dense woods and a tidal ocean view, located a short drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor this home offered us everything we could ask for in a Maine getaway. A few improvements on this cabin and we would give 5 stars. We plan to return again.

We found this hidden gem by chance when looking for a quiet oceanfront place to stay with our family and dog. Home was as advertised and we immediatwly wished we booked a third night. Clean, quiet and right at the waters edge.

Beautiful Location

We rented this beautiful home for a girls trip. The property was very clean and spacious and we loved the screened porch dining area. The kitchen was well equipped with washer/dryer looked brand new. Coffee on the deck in the morning was lovely. It's very quiet and peaceful. We would rent again if we return to Maine. Property management was quick to respond if needed. So much better than a hotel!

Lovely Home

This property is absolutely beautiful. We loved sitting on the deck. watching the birds and tide. The view from the dining room, deck and porch is picture perfect. The rooms were plenty comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. I hope to be back someday

The house is gorgeous. Sunrise views over the bay. Kayaking and paddle boarding from an easy launch site right at the house. Quick access to Schoodic point and 1 hour to Mount Dessert Island. 5 stars!

Garbage dumpster overflowing(huge oder with clouds of flies) This was not resolved for 6 days; in addition almost no water pressure (especially in showers);gnats throughout entire house;dangerous stairs to non-existent beach; old stove top-burners uneven and Difficult to use;dead insects in window sills; fans and some plugs do not work; poor condition

Family vacation

Plenty of room for our family. Nice location on the water. Very clean. The only thing was that the water pressure was very low; owner was able to get plumber to fix it which was great. Thank you!!

Very disappointed

I really wanted to love it. The view was spectacular. The location was remote. The kitchen was well stocked. However, the house had more of a cabin feel that needed some TLC than the 5-star rating that was advertised. Far too many outlets or fixtures didn’t work. The deck was in a state of disrepair. The grass was literally waste high. The steps leading to the water were broken and dangerous. And the water flow in most faucets was so low that the women couldn’t wash hair in the shower, they had to wash hair in the utility sink as this was the only faucet with decent water flow. The grass and the water flow were the only things I expected Vacasa to address. After a whole lot of run around, the grass was finally cut on day 3 and left in piles. The water issue was never addressed. Vacasa management has ruined VRBO.

Great but...

Location, cleanliness, amenities were all a 10, but the downstairs bed was hard as a rock, and the others were so so. Comfortable beds are a must, Invest in some better bedding and this place would be a perfect 10. I would also suggest a queen sized bed for the downstairs bedroom. Otherwise we had a great vacation visiting Acadia and the surrounding area.

Beautiful house and location/terrible communication

The house and location is beautiful. Large rooms, lots of space. However, no internet, which ruined a lot as my plan was to work. Vacasa sent someone out who told us what we know that there was no internet. Said they would contact home owner, who would contact internet provider and we should have it back end of the day and they would call us. Never heard back from anyone for the rest of our trip and never got internet. Wrote many times and told they would pass our messages on to local people. NEVER heard from anyone. Luckily it wasn't a real major problem like furnace or ater.When you can't get the host to communicate or fix things it makes your trip difficult. Great choice of house if you have no issues and don't need Vacasa to help you because they won't.

This place is a home run

We could not have been happier at this house. We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. It’s quiet, surrounded by woods and on the water. There is a house 100 yards away that you can see, other than that it’s just you and nature. We used the firepit one night and kitchen two nights. We didn’t mind the drive 45 mins into bar harbor each day. Easy and nice drive. Only thing I would change is the beds are a little hard, but that’s personal preference. Don’t be afraid to book this one!

Beautiful getaway

Vacationland

This is coastal Maine at its finest with the most spectacular view. Harbor Myst is what Vacationland is all about. The homeowners made sure we were comfortable with all necessities. It's a great location, secluded from the business or Bar Harbor which is about an hour away. Great local restaurants. We found the local seafood, off the beaten path were excellent. Great place for kids. We will be coming back again!
