「Have stayed in Upington several times before but first time we have stayed at Browns Manor. Fully deserves 4 star rating. A green oasis in the Kalahari - massive koi carp a reap bonus. Staff really kind and helpful. Nice clean pool with shaded area and loungers. Good quality breakfast included.」

「Even a few days after flooding as the Orange River rose and flooded their lawns - the BnB was immaculate. Great service - friendly staff - rooms had a lot of creature comforts. Will certainly consider them as a future stay in Upington. Breakfast were awesome.」

「Amazing is the only word to describe our stay. From the moment that we entered until we drove away we were treated exceptionally by everyone. Even though we stayed during off season and there were not many people staying at the lodge, all services were available for us. The food at the restaurant was very delicious and the wait staff is second to none. Our only complaint was that the air conditioner in our room was exceptionally loud. We definitely recommend staying here.」

「Terrible experience at this hotel, i had booked a room with a river view, upon my arrival I was allocated a cube room, with no window and a partitioned balcony. I queried this and noticed that they gave my room to their frequent guest and I had to suffer as am not a regular at the property. I was later given a room which had a small window still not the room I had booked and paid for. Just when i though I had all the terrible experience the dinner was even worse i could not swallow their wings...

「Ticks the boxes - but does not go further. Has the basics and room had good self catering options - but no soap/gel in bathroom. Room wi-fi didn't work and restaurant timings were very eratic - closing early.」
