Luxurious, Ski in/out, with amazing views throughout, gourmet kitchen, and a private hot tub. Located at the bottom of the "Bail Out" ski trail at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. The entry foyer opens to huge contemporary rooms with walls of windows reaching the treetops with views of the surrounding majestic mountains. The open flow design features 29’ whole-tree cedar columns from the main floor to the vaulted ceilings and supports a centrally located floating loft (bedroom) and catwalk. Thoughtful use of natural materials seamlessly marries the luxurious interior of the home with the exterior of the forest and mountains. Located in the Purcell Woods Close Loop, this beautiful, pristine home is ski-in/out and an ideal gathering spot for friends and families.
The main floor of this property has two living rooms, one in the back and one in the front of the house, each with a fireplace (1 wood, 1gas). The centrally located open-concept gourmet kitchen offers granite countertops, high-end appliances, and a gas cooktop. A separate dining room seats eight comfortably. Expanding views of sky and mountain are to the west and the mornings sunrise can be seen through the floor to ceiling picture windows from the east. In addition, the main floor has two beautifully furnished bedrooms (two twin beds, one queen) with a full bathroom, powder room, and laundry room. Outback, the private hot tub awaits.
A large master bedroom, en suite with shower, with a Jacuzzi tub is located on the top floor with a private deck. A catwalk leads to an open concept loft (with queen bed and single bed) in the middle of the house that overlooks the main floor.
Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is located high in the Dogtooth Range of the Purcell Mountains, 14 km above Golden, British Columbia. Surrounded by the towering peaks of two other mountain ranges – the Rockies and Selkirks – it is also close to six of Canada’s most spectacular National Parks: Banff, Jasper, Kootenay, Yoho, Glacier, and Mt. Revelstoke. Finding Kicking Horse isn’t hard if you know where to look. The resort is just 1.5 hours west of Banff (145 kilometers)and 2.5 hours west of Calgary (270 kilometers) on the Trans-Canada highway.

This property exceed my expectations. I came with my 3 teenaged sons in July. The views were absolutely beautiful. There was plenty of outdoor activities to do in and around Kicking House and Golden. All the comforts of home were provided in the house such as laundry detergent, shampoo & conditioner, and the kitchen was stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely Space

Perfect place for a few days of relaxation and a great base from which to explore the area. Very comfortable with huge windows and a real wood burning fireplace - lovely. We especially liked the fact that the hot tub was under the stars (not a balcony) and felt almost in the woods. We would definitely return.

The chalet was beautiful, the photos really do not do it justice. You can tell that the owners have put a lot of thought into the little touches like the ski storage drying rack.

A dream come true

An absolutely magical place to stay. The photos of the place are amazing but when you see see it in real life, it’s even better. The communication with the host is also excellent and they were very accommodating and helpful. We are planning our next trip already. Absolutely book this house for your next stay at Kicking Horse.

Golden Experience

We all very much enjoyed this beautiful home with very large kitchen and open floor plan. Impressive timber construction. 15 minutes from Golden - a perfect base from which to explore the area. Directly adjacent to Kicking Horse resort which offers year-round outdoor adventures.

Great Experience

This is a beautiful home in a beautiful area. The kitchen is well-equipped; there are clear instructions on how to operate everything in the home. There are plenty of towels and beds are great. Hot tub is fantastic. We had a great experience in this property.

Fantastic house and location in Golden

The house is stunning, spotless, and very well appointed. We accidentally locked ourselves out of the house within minutes of checking in and Mary-Beth quickly and graciously responded to our message. The area is very pretty to walk around and is very close to town. We were very sad to leave and look forward to our next stay.

YOHO Vacation

The property was absolutely perfect. Great location to explore Yoho, Jasper and Banff parks. Kids loved the hot tub and parents had plenty of space in the kitchen to prepare meals. Kicking Horse resort grizzly bear and gondola rides were spectacular. Golf at Golden GC was close by and a great value for such a well kept course. This area has something for everyone and the house was perfect for our large group to unwind at the end of long hikes. Highly recommend

This is a beautiful and comfortable home with everything we needed. It was set up to make us feel very welcome and it was extremely funcional for our family. Fantastic Stay!!

We stayed at this property with our family…5 adults and 2 children under 3. Before we left we all talked and could not come up with a single thing we would change. The property was immaculate when we arrived and had absolutely everything we needed. Any communication we had with the owner was immediately answered during booking and prior to check in. It was hard to leave but we will definitely be back!

Perfect Ski Weekend

We rented Mary-Beth's home for an annual guys ski weekend (Mar 10-13) and it was the perfect spot. Very spacious with beds for everyone. The open layout is great for socializing. We had a nice wood fire going every night and took advantage of the well stocked kitchen, had meals at the large dinner table. Garage is perfect for storing gear, and who doesn't like a soak in a private hot tub. And the fact that it is actually ski-in/ski-out was so convenient. After a long day on the hill being able to ski straight to the back door was amazing. Thanks again!

The location was easy to access and place was just amazing with high ceilings and open concept. My wife and I had our friends with us and it was amazing two days stay with all the required amenities.
