"I had the most amazing stay at the Dorsett for my birthday. The executive rooms are amazing, as was the canapés in the evening and the wonderful staff who made my stay special. You have access to the facilities at the Star as well."

"A hidden gem. The friendly reception staff and the staff in the restaurant made us feel very welcome, and the complimentary drink and buffet breakfast were a lovely touch. The room was clean, modern, and well-maintained, with a very comfortable bed. Overall, it was a great stay, and I would happily return."

Positives: - food choice - ABBA show in theatre - locality to Broadbeach - better customer service this time, felt like a customer, not someone who owed gratitude to customer service reps. Not so Positives: - ABBA show 1st half, the sound setup wrong, couldn't hear the singers - room toilet too low for sitting - no fresh orange at breakfast, and would have preferred English Bacon. If it wasn't for the 'Not so positives', would have rated 5*"
