"Room was average hotel room. No windows only slider to pool area. Pool area was large with water puddles. Breakfast area was clean and coffee was good. Worst part of the whole stay was the restaurant. Horrible service if you could even get service. 45 minute wait for food and then it was wrong but they couldn’t make what we ordered because by then the kitchen was closed. Two other tables just got up and left because no one waited on them. Only two other people in the place so no excuse. Bartender was telling people to go to Applebees"
Stay in the Old Hauenstein Brewery on the 1st level
10/10 Excellent
"The property is in New Ulm. We attended a family reunion during Bavarian Blast and it was nice to head to peace and quiet after the loud music and crowds. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the former brewery artifacts and historical pictures with a surprise taste of the former brewery's signature beer! We highly recommend this lovely location."
Downtown Sleepy Eye Apartment, 1 bedroom and sleeper. Vintage in every way!
10/10 Excellent
"Went to Sleepy Eye for a fundraising run from the brewery in town. This is the perfect place because it’s right next door. I was able to make dinner and breakfast, binge-watch my wife’s show, have a video meeting and learn about the history of the town and area. The unit is upstairs. I was greeted by old time architecture, rich woodwork, and a sense of relaxation. 10” high baseboards, classic French doors, massive kitchen cabinets. The Kuereg coffee was welcome and I was able to go downstairs to the coffee shop for my wife’s frothy ‘request’. The oak floors squeak and the claw foot tub with the shower curtain adds character. My suggestion? Give it a try. Classic small town charm."
"Nothing spectacular, but a clean, reasonably priced room in New Ulm. Room was contemporary and comfortable. We were disappointed that the television was limited to cable (no access to Netflix, etc.). The AC was ice cold - in fact, a bit too cold! Breakfast was standard self-serve breakfast fare. Overall, a 3.5, we’d likely stay there again if we found ourselves in New Ulm."
