I hate to give a less than perfect rating, especially since I never stayed at this property.
I had a situation come up where I needed to stay a few more days in the area. I only had 24 hours notice, and MUCH prefer a VRBO property to a hotel.
I searched on the app, this place was listed as available for the date range- so I booked it and got a confirmation email.
The next day at almost 4 pm( check in time) I didn’t see any communication about directions/address & code to get in.
I messaged through the app and got no response. I went to grab an early dinner and searched thru my ransom and happened to run across an email that stayed “ reservation cancelled”
There was no explanation, no way to reply
So I had to quickly find somewhere to stay.
I messaged thru the app again asking why my reservation was cancelled.
I got s reply about 24 hours later- I was told it was an issue with the VRBO app, which can’t handle bookings with less than 48 hours notice.
Ummmm what???
I book thru VRBO app every time I travel- in the past 10 months I have booked( successfully) at least 14 times. About 1/2 were a 24-48 hour booking.
Later that day I got another reply, and after about 4 hours of texting someone told me that their properties’ housekeeping can’t handle a less than 48- hour turnover timeframe.
The company is Evolve. They have over 30,000 properties.
In my opinion- I won’t book with Evolve ever.
