Fraser Suites Glasgow
6/10 Okay
"While the room itself was nice and spacious, the building itself is showing its age with uneven floors throughout. Water pressure was great. Basic equipment for the mini kitchen was adequate. Staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful. Fitness center opened on my second day there... you can get a good lift in, but you're in tight quarters. Breakfast was fine, though I'm used to American breakfasts that include scrambled eggs, pancakes, potatoes, and bacon/sausage. This was just the cereal, fruit, and pastries- no hot options. Great coffee, though.
Where it came apart for me was two things. One: the site was advertised with an airport shuttle, "A RARE FIND". THERE WAS NO SHUTTLE but I did get to pay $80 for a couple can rides - which blows. The other was that the hotel is directly attached/adjacent to not one, not two, but THREE nightclubs on the street level that were THUMPING until 3AM. Combined with the time change, that lead to my Garmin recording three "no sleep" nights out of the six I was there."
