Comfortable stay in unprecedented times

Friendly Receptionist and made us very welcome during unprecedented quiet times, due to pandemic. Restaurant food and service was excellent as usual. Clean, comfortable room. Unfortunately buffet breakfast not being served due to COVID restrictions.

Budget room, but you get what you pay for.

Check in was great, had asked for room away from lifts which i got but not on a high floor, room was ok for price, needed a bit TLC, strange stain on carpet, broken window, curtains difficult to close and walls needing touched up, tea and coffee facilities good, bed was comfortable, only moan was there was some sort of extraction system close by our room which was off when we went to sleep, but came on early in the morning so had a very broken sleep, couldn't sleep with air con on as noisy but overall not bad for the price, would stay again and hopefully not get same room. Hotel perfectly placed for our event at secc, can park for free after 6pm and over weekend, lots of great restaurants and bars in area, so there was more positives than negatives, staff that i interacted with were lovely, cocktail bar and restaurant looked busy and good, very close to a 24 hr McDonald's and a Tesco Express also!!

Communal areas nice but room very poor.

Booked a twin room (326). On entering the room the two single beds were pushed together and beside cabinets on either side so couldn't seperate them. The wallpaper above the wall was peeled away from the wall. The curtains didn't close properly and there was black dirt/mould all around the frame. There was also a big stain on ceiling where there has been a leak before. Lucky it was a good friend I was sharing with as a large frosted glass panel covered bathroom which was next to beds so could see the person in the shower. Overall it was a disappointing stay. The photographs on the website did not reflect the room we stayed in.

Lovely Hotel

Really enjoyed our stay, staff were very friendly, room was nice and clean and the bathroom was beautiful! Beds were comfy, so much so that we didn't want to get out of bed. Outside noise was quiet so we got a decent sleep. Honestly can't fault this hotel, will definitely be recommending to family and friends and will be back myself in the future.

An overnight stay perfect for us 4ladies,going to SSEC to see Ball and Boe in concert. The Indian restaurant was very good and bar prices very reasonable.We would return again .

Top hotel and value for money

This hotel is conveniently situated for the SEC, only 10 minutes walk away. It is appointed to a high standard with friendly staff and is excellent value for money.

Amazing location, great service, room a bit tired round edges, huge bed which was awesome but one side of mattress extremely soft. Bathroom great, with huge shower, some elements of cleaning that could be improved, wouldn’t stop me staying here again

£40 for a twin room is hard to beat. The beds and bathroom were clean. The rest of the hotel is tatty and needs a few quid spent on it but you get what you pay for!

I LIKED THE STAFF AND CHRISTMAS TREE ALSO RECEPTION AREA. I DID NOT LIKE THE ROOM. I HAD SCRATCHES ALL OVER WALLS, CURTAINS WOULD NOT CLOSE DUE TO NOT BEING FITTED PROPERLY. IT WAS LIKE A BUDGET ROOM. THE SMELL OF DAMPNESS OUTSIDE ROOM WAS APPALLING AS WAS THE ACCESS ITSELF DUE TO LOCATION WITH HEAVY LUGGAGE.
