Stayed at this hotel as was attending a wedding across the road at the citation venue found the Brunswick be excellent value and right in the centre of town very clean and very accommodating

Clean but small room. Staff was super friendly, great walking distance to everything! Loved how the amsterdam bar was attached downstairs. Only downfall is that you can hear the pub from our room window. Would classify this hotel for a younger crowd.

Sometimes you get what you pay for. This was a small room without temperature controls so the window needed to be open. However the room was located over a bar so it was quite noisy until late. The receptionist was very nice and helpful.

Functional

Functional! Room and bathroom were small, but comfortable and clean. Not much staff interaction. Bag storage facility was poor - just a corner in a corridor. Check in time is 3pm, with no concessions made. We arrived at 2pm, and understood our bags would be taken to our room when it was ready but they were still in tbe corridor when we returned at 11.30pm.

Room condition was not great and the smell in the hallway was awful. Window looked out onto a brick wall and dirty glass panel. I understand the rooms are getting improved but no apology for the condition or smell.

Hotel itself was fine. However, I booked it specifically because it said it has accessible parking and it does not. ALL parking is in a Q-parking place 5 mins walk away and needs to be paid for. My husband had to make multiple trips to the car because of needing to push me in the chair. Staff were not apologetic, blaming Expedia for the confusion rather than accepting any responsibility. Very disappointing.

Mange your expectations and it’ll be ok

We made the best of it as it was only a place to sleep after a wedding across the road at Citation. The staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable. We had a compact room (all that was available at time of booking) which would not be suitable for anyone on the larger side as you had to side step round the bed and duck under the tv on the wall to get to the other side of the bed. The shower cubicle was tight and there was more water spraying out the sides of the shower head than where it should have meaning the whole bathroom got soaked. A new shower bread would solve this but it looks like they tried to fix it unsuccessfully. The walls could do with a fresh coat of paint/deep clean and the bedding was bobbled.
