オーバーブッキングで宿泊できませんでした
せっかく事前に予約したにもかかわらず、当日チェックイン時にオーバーブッキングと言われて、近隣のホテルに変更させられました。 ホテルの雰囲気もとてもよく、実際エントランスを見ても素晴らしいホテルでしたが、楽しみにしていたにもかかわらず泊まることができずとても残念でした。 変更したホテルも、悪くはありませんでしたが、とても楽しみにしていただけに非常に残念な思いをしました。。 ホテル周りの治安や環境、ゲントの中心地へのアクセスも申し分ない場所にありました。夜に一人で出歩いていてもあまり不安を感じることもない地域です。

Quirky historic hotel in a very quiet part of the city, but just a few minutes walk from the centre. Great staff, lovely breakfast. Well appointed room and bathroom. Only slight criticism is that the double bed was two singles pushed together and they were very "mobile" so would drift apart easily!

Lovely hotel. Great location to transport links and the historical centre. Staff were helpful, and the bed was comfy. However, it was 2 singles pushed together, so be prepared to fall down the middle if you are like me and wriggle in your sleep.

Het hotel ligt vlakbij centrum gent en maakt het gemakkelijk te voet de stad te bezoeken. De kamer was netjes ingericht en het personeel heel vriendelijk. Jammer dat 's morgens het brandalarm twee keer afging en onze slaap zo verstoord werd.

Leider hat man nicht die Möglichkeit im Hotel zu Dinner. Das würde das Ganze abrunden. Vorallem die Kapelle ist überwältigend. Da wäre die Bar viel besser aufgehoben

Aparte accommodatie. Mooie ruime kamer. Lekker ontbijt. Één koffieapparaat in de ontbijt zaal is echt te weinig. Bij aankomst was er niemand in de receptie aanwezig. Zelf maar iemand gaan zoeken. Toch een heerlijk verblijf.

Great, unusual property
Really good stay, the room was really comfortable and spacious, the property as a whole was pretty unique and really well located for the main attractions of Ghent. Breakfast was really good.

This is a lovely property in an old monastery while it keeps an elegant yet spartan decor reminiscent of the monastery the beds are comfortable with luxurious bedding the bathrooms are are elegant, and the property is quiet. BUT, there is no need to feel uncomfortable if you are not religious, there is a wink to the modern secular world visible in the art work, look closely, it will make you smile. The staff is wonderful.

Unique and quiet set in a wooded area minutes walk from beautiful river, Gravenstein castle, pubs, shops, etc. Highly recommended.

Cette hôtel atypique est très bien situé, les chambres sont propre et calme. Très bel aménagement dans cet ancien monastère. Personnel agréable et à votre écoute. Très bon séjour.

Pro: The hotel itself is very cool and interesting just to walk through. Also the beds are pretty comfortable. Con: the room was not fully cleaned (trash had not been emptied and the sink had not been cleaned)... but, more importantly, someone keyed into the room at 9:30am for no reason?? No warning knock nor apology. That was a bit alarming.

Happy with the location, the room and the facilities. Not happy with the reaction of the reception after a false fire alarm at 22h ("There probably is no fire, you can go back to your room. It is probably a false alarm. We often have those"). This probably made me feel safe :-) Not happy with (Spanish speaking) staff speaking loudly in a room (or kitchen or whatever facility that is) next to mine (St.Stephen´s cell) between 1:00h and 2:00h in the morning - makes it hard to sleep.

Thanks for your positive review and score.As Manager I was very disturbed to read your comment regarding the fire alarm. As I am sure you are aware, our alarms have to be very sensitive and our staff training is under constant review. We clearly need a bit more work with some staff...The alarm system enables us to identify exactly what type of detector has 'gone off', so we can see almost immediately that it is a false alarm. We also have cameras...As to the regularity of these alarms, 'We often have those', was a rather silly thing to say. The alarm goes off maybe once or twice a month!Regarding loud Spanish speaking staff...we don't have any Spanish speakers on our staff...Please report instances like this to our night reception and we would ask the guests to desist

Staying in an old seminary was very awesome and the girl at the counter was very helpful, however the older side of the property where I stayed needed much work. The bathrooms were in I’ll repair and dirty, the room locks were poorly installed with drywall screws, the tv did not work in my room, and there were significant gaps around the room door. I have stayed in hostels in poorer areas of the world that were not in such poor shape. From what I gathered, there were other rooms that were recently renovated and had in-suite bathrooms instead of them being located half-a-landing down or down the hall.

Hôtel situé à proximité du centre ville de Gand (5-10 minutes à pied des quais Korenlei et Graslei) dans un quartier calme. Le cadre est magnifique dans cet ancien monastère avec une magnifique chapelle. Les chambres sont propres et confortables.

Perfect walking location to everything. You didn’t get disturbed by the festival that was going on but could easily access it within 5 minutes walk. Comfortable beds and good breakfast,
