About this property
Sonoma County Historic Home With Pool; 5 Min Walk to Cyrus, Diavola & Catelli's
TOT#2463N
The Bosworth is a charming Victorian home ideally situated in Geyserville at the heart of one of Sonoma County's best wine-tasting regions. Built in 1904 and stylishly restored in 2015, this home is perfect for relaxing wine country get-aways. The new pool and hot tub/spa are perfect for relaxing on hot summer days or after wine tasting!
House history The Bosworth house was built in 1904 by George Bosworth for his wife and family. The family is one of the early settlers to the Geyserville area, and whose descendants have remained in and around Geyservile. George Bosworth's grandson, Harry Bosworth still runs Bosworth & Son General Merchandise just a few blocks away.
The house is an outstanding example of mixed styles: it is Victorian with wide interior trim. It still has the large sliding pocket doors intact, along with high ceilings, and original fir floors. The outside shows a strong Palladian influence in the low dormer windows cut through the main roof line, small bay and windows, and sheet metal minarets on the roof. It is a classic example of a merchant's home in a rural area, built at a time when folks could use a mail order Pattern book to choose house plans. This home was built from a Pattern Book popular at the time.
Each room has been thoughtfully decorated to bring the home to life and create a comfortable, casual environment for your vacation. Walking through the front door you'll find the cosy wine room to your left and dining area to your right. Both rooms will comfortably seat 8-10 people and are great spaces to gather with family and friends. The kitchen is set up for those who love to cook. With a six burner Wolf range, a Sub Zero refrigerator, and a cozy farm table you'll be inspired to cook with all of the local produce and cheeses Sonoma County has to offer. And finally the TV room comes with a 70" television, two sofas and leather reading chair.
The three upstairs bedrooms, two with ensuite bath, all have King beds, 50" flat screen TVs and down alternative duvets. The light-filled downstairs bedroom at the back of the house has a Queen bed and two full walls of windows that look out on to the charming back yard.
Outside, you'll find beautiful gardens, a small vineyard, fruit trees, and tables and chairs for outdoor dining or relaxing with a glass of wine.
Guest Access
Guests have access to the entire house and yard. There is also Wi-Fi and a garden.

The Neighborhood
Geyserville is a small wine country town with a population of 837 people. Located on the main street of this charming town The Bosworth is just a few blocks from our newest acclaimed restaurants and bars--Diavola, Catelli's, Cyrus, Geyserville Grille, Geyserville Mud coffee shop, and the Gun Club Bar and Lounge. Just a few minutes away, you'll find the Francis Ford Coppola Winery where you can eat at the cafe by the pool, or their restaurant called Rustic.
There are also several shops--Gin Gillies for antiquing and the Bosworth General store for western hats and gifts.
Healdsburg is just a few minutes away, with an amazing variety of restaurants and shops. See the guidebook for more information.
There are outdoor activities--biking is very popular in this area and our kids love to float down the Russian River. There are also hiking and walking trails nearby.
Finally, there are over 400 local wineries waiting for you to visit.
Getting Around
You'll likely want a car to get here and to explore the area. That said, biking is very popular in Sonoma County and you'll often see groups of bikers on the country roads or going from winery to winery.

The house and location were perfect in every way. Very thoughtfully outfitted for families. The kids loved the pool, and the toys/games in the house. Overall the house was beautifully modernized. Loved the fact that we could walk to Geyserville's great restaurants too.
Very impressive home with everything you'll need for a great time. Beds were very comfortable. Great location for visiting Russian River, Dry Creek, Anderson Valley. Was pleasantly surprised about the restaurants available in Geyserville. Also very close to Healdsburg too for more options.
We have traveled together for many years. This property was a perfect selection for 9 women. We loved the quiet, the beds, and the convenience to everything. Thank you
The house has been remodeled beautifully while still feeling special and that you are the heart of old farming town. We had 4 couple and another adult on pull out. Everyone had plenty of space to themselves and then all got to be together in the kitchen and an afternoon by the pool. The host responded quickly to any needs with accessing small things. House overall was ready to go. Our time there could not have been better.
The house was amazing, and worked perfectly with our 4 couples. The location was perfect for walking to dinner, drinks, and and antiquing! We will be back!
Our son got married in Geyserville and this house was just what we needed. A beautiful quaint house with all the amenities needed to relax before the big day. Highly recommended place to stay!

FABULOUS HOUSE!
The Bosworth is a must stay! The house is adorable, rooms plenty big, bathrooms impeccably clean and the backyard a perfect spot to hang out after a day of wine tasting. Also if you have children it's the place to stay!
Far beyond what I expected. Would definitely stay there again and again. My family loved every minute of our stay. House was incredibly clean, well appointed with everything one would need.
We’ve stayed at this fabulous house twice now and have loved our stay both times. The restoration work is very well done, it’s spacious and comfortable, and a short distance to great food and scenery. We also love the outdoor area for our small family, especially the perfectly sized pool. The owners are so nice too. We will be back!

Just Awesome
What a great home with all the amenities including the kitchen, four large bedrooms, several outdoor areas, a pool, hot tub and beautiful gardens. A perfect location for a weekend of wine tasting and walking to several great restaurants for dinner. A no brainer for four couples or a large family for a perfect weekend.
This is our third time at this property. It’s our favorite vrbo close to Healdsburg. It’s perfect for our family of 3 kids. The pool and gardens are spectacular, and the beds are so comfy. We love the kitchen with the gas stove, and we’ve made many meals with the outdoor grill. We highly recommend this charming home.

Beautifully restored house
The house was perfect for 4 couples, especially since there are four bathrooms. Plenty of room in the house to relax and outside as well. Great to be able to walk to a couple of restaurants. We loved that the house was historic yet had been beautifully updated . We definitely would rent this house again since it was very close to lots of the wineries we visited.

Great Property!
This house was amazing! It is decorated beautifully and has plenty of bathrooms! It is also right downtown Geyserville so you can walk to dinner and wine tasting. The backyard was relaxing and perfect for hanging out while visiting with friends. I would highly recommend this house. The owners checked in after the first day to make sure everything was taken care of. This was beautiful space and our vacation was fantastic because of it!
The best rental experience we’ve ever had! Perfect in every way for a family that ranged in aged from 76 to 17 months!! Any and everything we could have asked for was there and available to us! Can’t wait to return!
Our group of eight LOVED the house from the moment we pulled up! Once inside the house we were all extremely happy with the layout of the bed and baths. The kitchen has updated appliances, it's a little small but it worked well. The yard was a great place to hangout early morning and we enjoyed the hot tub. My friends continue to mention how comfortable the beds were!! We will be staying at this amazing house again SOON.
We absolutely LOVED this house in Geyserville - so perfectly appointed and comfortable! First, the town of Geyserville is just so cute, and you in walking distance to the small, but wonderful, selection of shops and restaurants! The house itself is wonderful - it was absolutely perfect for us to hang out in the spacious, beautiful backyard, swim in the pool, grill dinner and relax, when we were not at wineries! The beds were super comfortable, the bathrooms were modern and beautiful. I really recommend this house, and we all agreed upon checkout that this would be our "go to" house for future wine country trips! So close to Healdsburg too! Book it!
There were so many wonderful things about this historic home. Our family felt right at home. ALL of the beds are very comfortable. There are plenty of places to sit and relax including a large dining space. The bathrooms are all remodeled and spacious. We enjoyed the pool and spa even in October. There are two nice restaurants right down the road within walking distance. We totally enjoyed our stay!!
We love Geyserville and this property is truly stunning. It’s like having your own modern renovated bed and breakfast all to yourself. Blocks away from the Geyserville “main drag” with amazing restaurants and winery tasting rooms. Yard is beautiful too.
