Immerse yourself in the Gettysburg experience while staying in our 677sq. ft. 3rd floor within a historic1863 home. Along the route Lincoln walked to the National Cemetery, 3 blocks from the center square and a short walk to the Steinwehr Ave district, the National Park, or a multitude of dining options. There is a trolley stop across the street at the Library for the 3 main historic routes. On lot parking space available behind the house from High St. Great location. Surrounded by Churches. Short walk to National Park, .4 miles in multiple directions. .5 miles to Gettysburg College, 11 miles to Ski Liberty Resort, 14 miles to great hiking along the Appalachian Trail to the west and north. 7 miles to Apple County USA.

Very clean and great location.
This is probably the cleanest place we’ve stayed at. The location can’t be beat either. It was very comfortable and the owner was fantastic at communicating.

Optimal location for walking about town
The location and off street parking are optimal. Who doesn't like to see Abraham Lincoln from their bed or hear church bells chime! Loved some of the historic features! The stairs up the apartment are a cool curve but a lot. A few little things...towel hook near the shower, hook for hand towel, WD-40 the squeaky door, more comfortable seating...would go a long way. Overall we enjoyed ourselves but really weren't in the apartment much over the weekend. Would highly recommend to others!!

An OK experience
For history buffs like my friend and me, the location can't be beat -- the building was there in 1863 and likely passed by Lincoln on his way to deliver his address. The unit has everything promised in the listing. But it wasn't especially comfortable. It occupies attic space at the top of the building. There was a good deal of street noise, which really didn't bother me much but could be a problem for others. Instructions on how to use to the TV controls would have been nice. For our purposes, it was fine -- we were out touring the sights most of the day. But I'm guessing I'll look elsewhere the next time I'm in Gettysburg.

Nice apartment
Even though is an older property (1863) it was very comfortable, provided everything needed. Excellent A/C and the beds very comfortable. It wad hard for me to go up so many stairs but because I had knee problems and did not ask about stairs. Thanks.
