German-Luxembourg Nature Park

Troisdorf is a beautiful place and the hotel was very well located in the centre of time, and a very short walk to the train + bus station where you could quickly get to the airport or Köln hbf. The rooms appeared dated aesthetically, however the facilities provided were very clean and sufficed for our short 3 night stay. The staff were kind and spoke English well enough to converse with us about the local area and our stay. Our main issue with our stay was the noise, our room was located on the first floor by the stairwell and near the front of the hotel. During the nights people would scream, run up and down the hall and stairs, slam doors and overall had 0 hotel etiquette. Loud music was playing in a nearby room at midnight and the whole room was vibrating. During the mornings, potentially due to our room being located next to a storage cupboard for towels etc, the staff would be right outside our door talking loudly and slamming the doors at 8-9 o clock in the morning. This all happened on atleast 2 of the 3 nights. The bed was comfy and the price was excellent so can’t complain, but I think hotel management should do better to combat the yobs running around the hotel in the middle of the night screaming.

Gym was tiny and hot. Breakfast was great as well as coffee and staff

Apart from its central location and its historical architecture, the hotel was mediocre. The refrigerator did not work, there was no hair conditioner, no iron with ironing board. The very skinny bathtub with glass panel leaked water onto the floor while taking a shower. The bed was made of two separate mattresses that kept sliding apart. So if you want to snuggle with your partner think again I would stay there again strictlybecause of the central location.
