The check-in process was generally smooth as we were there only after 4pm. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room condition was decent but the water pressure at the shower was rather low and it wasn’t very hot. The bottled shower gel, shampoo etc was very hard to use, only a small amount comes out with every pump. We use the spa service during the stay and the experience was good. Like the hut by the beach as we could hear the waves while having the treatment done. Buffet Breakfast varieties were impressive but quality of certain stations such as the juices was rather disappointing.

I went with my seven year old daughter and she loved the pool with slides and the very well organized Kids club. I found the food to be just so so but it is easy enough to order from Grab. Staff is friendly enough although the deposit and payment system could be easier. I would definitely recommend for families with children who need entertainment. Also very close to Escape Penang

Nice modern hotel over looking the sea, was disappointed not to see clear blue sea as apparently they have removed a lot of sand in the sea and now its more murky so you don't know what's in the warer need to be careful of the jelly fish. The hotel reception staff were friendly smooth check in, nice room comfortable bed and good shower. Breakfast could get very busy, good selection to eat staff some days were too busy to greet you, around the pool at certain times of day you could hear the noise from children great for fanilues not so good for couples but some quiet sun bsthing areas to get away from it. The pool life guats was very good helped recommend thibgs to do Feetrah? Sorr

We will definitely come back here. The hotel has everything- waterpark, swimming pool, resto, cafe and bar. The beach is just outside the gate and there’s a lot of water sports. What we don’t like was the noise due to ongoing renovation. But overall, we had fun specially my 11 year- old son.

The Hard Rock hotel Penang is starting to show its age. Overall is a good hotel that needs a lot of maintenance in the rooms and swimming pool. Staff were brilliant and with the exception of breakfast was really good. Breakfast tends to cater more for Asian guests, beef bacon or turkey ham just doesn’t cut it.

Very enjoyable stay. Obviously very busy with the start of school holidays in Malaysia and lots of visitors but still managed to find little areas of peace & sunbeds by the pool! Staff all excellent and friendly - common areas clean and enjoyable to relax in. Facilities good - the main restaurant and "Pizzeria" very clean, good food & lovely staff. Swimming pools good with areas for families (ie kids) and adults. Splash area was looking a little worn with the underfoot surface degraded but not unexpected considering the heavy use. Breakfast amazing. Good quality and enough to go round even when it was at its most craziest! Only thing I'll say is please make more teh tarik - it always ran out by 9am and no top up. Room great (we had a seaview) - large clean and had all the storage we needed and amenities (two bottles of water a day & tea/ coffee making facility). TV entertainment brilliant with plenty of movies and TV shows available. Overall very happy and look forward to staying again!

In room you can hear everything from corridors. Room with connecting on bathroom and only sliding walls are terrible, they are not very nice. My view is that there are a few areas of improvement Food quality : I think the breakfast spread is very limited and the quality is extremely low. I hope the management can charge some incremental money and improve the quality of food. Overall the food options needs to be bolstered a bit for room dining as well. Having travelled to many countries and having stayed in the best of 5 star hotels to boutique hotels, this is the only hotel where I saw stale fruits being served on multiple days. That’s just simply not acceptable Quality of rooms: needs some refurbishment, looks a bit dated, door safety latch was broken, curtains seem to have some kinda mold in them. On a couple of ocassions in the pool area, they ran out of towels. Staff: staff was helpful and did their job well This feedback is for the people who are in the management roles so that they can look into these areas. Overall I would rate this property as a 3.5-4 star at best and if simply put it has a quite a few yards to cover before it can truly be considered as a 5 star property.

we are at the corner of the pool access, still can hear lifeguard chit chatting very loudly to spoil the peace. F&B staff from the lobby lounge and breakfast area tends to chat too much and not noticing guest.
