Colorful Beach Home w/ Ocean Front View + 2 Master Bedrooms

Make the most of your Bahamian getaway and stay at the colorful Beach Blanket! Owned by actress/model Jena Sims-Koepka, this contemporary 2,600 sq ft home has 4 bedrooms, 3 and a half bathrooms, and 3 outdoor seating areas. Perfect for families, small groups, or individuals looking to relax in spacious comfort, three of the bedrooms offer Queen-size beds, while the fourth room has two Twin-size beds. The Master bedroom is located on the main floor with an en-suite bath (shower only) and a sliding door leading to a porch. Upstairs is a second Master bedroom, which features a private balcony and an en-suite bath with double vanities and separate shower and bathtub. The additional upstairs bedrooms share another full bath that also has a separate shower and tub.

Beach Blanket is located on Sandy Lane, nicely landscaped and just a short walk from the sparking, turquoise waters lapping the shoreline at Jimmy Hill Beach. Enjoy the three-mile stretch of beach for sunbathing, snorkeling, and long, lazy walks. Paddle boards and other floating toys are available at the house for guests to enjoy. Prepare a delicious meal in the bright, well-equipped open kitchen, which features stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher and ice-maker. A separate wet bar with a mini fridge is located just off the kitchen—perfect for evening drinks! Gather in the living room with its ample array of comfortable seating and a nearby half-bathroom. There is also an outdoor gas grill for cooking in the fresh sea air. The house further offers a washer and dryer, vacuum cleaner, cleaning supplies, kitchen utensils and provisions (including spices and condiments), a coffee maker, and a toaster.

Exuma International Airport is just a few minutes from Beach Blanket, and George Town is only 15 minutes by car, making it easy to discover local shopping and dining. There’s lots to do on the beautiful island of Great Exuma, including fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, visiting the famous swimming pigs, and touring the Exuma Cays. As the island is only 37 miles long, you can explore by car all day at your leisure and be back in time for dinner. Take a water taxi across Elizabeth Harbor over to Stocking Island for lunch or drinks at the lively Chat ‘N’ Chill beach bar or sample a variety of local cuisine at the Fish Fry food shacks.

Our family of 6 just stayed at Beach Blanket and we LOVED it!! We are already planning a return visit. Onike was so helpful and responsive. Her guidance allowed us to be prepared for our week and anything we needed while we were there was met with a quick and friendly response.Ice Maker, Rental Car and Location stand out as well as the great home that Beach Blanket is. Exuma is gorgeous and rustic at the same time. Adopt island time and meet all of the smiles with smiles of your own. Everyone is so nice and welcoming on the island.Highly recommend the Exuma Watersports All-Day Tour (Worth the Money), Baymanhi Beach Club (Stocking Island), and Coco Plum Beach. B'Booky and B'Rabby's had some great cocktails and wine right in the middle of town as well.I could keep going, but you really should simply go and see for yourself.

An Exuma Gem!

We had the most incredible stay at The Beach Blanket House in Exuma! It was absolutely perfect for our group — two families traveling together — with plenty of space, comfort, and charm. The layout was ideal for both privacy and together time, and everything was so thoughtfully arranged and well-stocked.One of the best parts was how close we were to the ocean — just a short, easy walk away! The beach was stunning, peaceful, and never crowded, making it feel like our own little slice of paradise. We have visited the island many times and enjoyed being close to town! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy Exuma to the fullest. We can’t recommend The Blanket House enough and would return in a heartbeat!

We stayed at the Beach Blanket for a family vacation and it was wonderful! Since the house is centrally located on the island, we were able to drive to the north and south ends of the island relatively quickly. Onike was very responsive, even before we arrived - offering suggestions from restaurants to rental cars! The house was very clean and the kitchen was well-equipped. You also had everything you needed for the beach - chairs, floats, coolers, etc. We would definitely stay here again!

Nothing but perfect.

This vacation was my daughter’s senior trip, and it was definitely one that we’ll cherish! Beach blanket was everything that we hoped for! The home had everything that we needed…down to the multiple coolers, kitchen appliances and beach chairs and umbrellas. It’s located in the perfect spot! The property manager deserves ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! She answered all my questions in such a timely manner and was super helpful! We can’t wait to return to beach blanket in the future!

Best week ever!

We loved our first trip to Exuma. It really felt like a dream getting to experience such a beautiful place. The house was perfect. It was in a convenient location and was very well stocked. We especially loved the beach closet! We definitely hope to return to Exuma soon!

Exceeded our high expectations!

Lovely house 100 steps from a terrific beach. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 teenagers. We’ve rented other homes before. NONE matched the amenities at Beach Blanket. It was like being at home. The host provided little things like spices, pods for coffee, lots of quality cookware, a virtually new gas grill and all sorts of beach toys. Could not have been more pleased!

Beach Blanket - A Perfect Beach Getaway

We had an incredible stay at Beach Blanket in Great Exuma, Bahamas! The location was perfect, just a stone's throw away from the beach. The house matched its VRBO description precisely, and everything was spotless upon our arrival. The amenities provided were top-notch, especially the selection of beach toys and equipment that kept our family entertained. The fully equipped kitchen and the convenience of an outdoor shower were fantastic additions. The host was extremely responsive and accommodating, offering us valuable tips about the area. Checking in was a breeze, and the layout of the house worked wonderfully for our group. The picturesque surroundings and nearby activities made the experience even more enjoyable. A week in paradise

There are no words to describe the time spent at Beach Blanket. It’s such a beautiful home, with plenty of space, and everything you could possibly need to spend a week away from home. The house was incredibly clean and well equipped with beach gear, board games, movies, dishes, etc. The walk to the water is very short and easy. Check in was smooth, and Onike’ was such a helpful guide. We even accidentally left behind a large amount of cash and she very quickly got it back to us after we had already returned to the states (such a silly mistake, but we were dreading leaving and just completely forgot.) We are so thankful for her help! We will absolutely be returning with our boys next time, and will book at Beach Blanket again!

Comfortable Paradise

We had a great stay at the Beach Blanket. The house is beautifully decorated with comfortable bedding for all. The back porch seemed to be the gathering spot for our party of eight. The walk to the beach is short but be prepared for a rocky landing before reaching the sand. We had a blind person in our party and it was difficult to navigate. Once there, it was just perfect. Onike was very responsive and kind. Five stars to her for always answering our calls and giving us good information. Exuma is beautiful and the water is unlike any we’ve ever experienced.

ALL THE STARS! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Staying at Beach Blanket Is Like Staying at a Friend’s Place ❤️

HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying at Beach Blanket! If your family likes space to spread out and quiet days on the beach, you’ll LOVE this place. Walk to beach via a sand path in just a couple minutes; going down to the right a little, there’s a bigger sandy area to set up chairs and towels. Wonderful views all day including sunrise/sunset. Recommend bug spray for dusk/sunset as biting flies came out then, but we had ZERO issues with flies on the beach during the sunrise and daylight hours. The house is beautifully decorated and well appointed for cooking, baking, grilling, playing games, doing laundry, watching Netflix, and most importantly going to the BEACH 🏝️ with plenty of beach chairs, towels, snorkels, coolers, etc. available for guest use. There’s an outdoor shower to rinse off all the sand before storing things and re-entering the house. It’s such a nice house; it felt much more “homey” than other rentals we’ve had: you can tell the owners really love this place, put a lot of themselves into it, and it’s a HOME not just an impersonal investment property for them. The on-island rental manager (Onike’) was super responsive and attentive to questions/needs prior to and during our stay; we couldn’t have asked for better communication. Checking in/out of the house was a breeze. For outings, we loved Tropic of Cancer Beach, Cocoplum Beach, Hoopers Bay turtles, Pig Beach, iguanas, and swimming with sharks. Nice dinners out at Rusty Anchor and BLU. Good grocery store in Georgetown.

Fully Stocked/ Excellent Location

Our group of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Beach Blanket. The home is a 5 minute drive from the airport and is centrally located on the island which we found to be perfect for us as we explored everything the beautiful island had to offer from the northern tip to the southern tip! The house has literally everything you need to make your stay comfortable and fun for everyone in your party! We enjoyed sipping our coffee from the comfortable deck furniture while watching the sunrise many mornings and took full advantage of the incredible beach which is a one-minute walk from the house. We had a few questions while we were here and the property management company was very responsive and helpful. Amazing place, amazing people…we can’t wait to come back!

Beach Blanket - Beach Beauty!

Everything you need in Exuma!

This home has everything you need! It’s a very short walk to the beach, centrally located on the island, and is fully stocked for an amazing stay! We loved our stay and would def stay here again!

Amazing Stay!

Our stay at Beach Blanket was amazing. The space is immaculately clean and conveniently located. The bedroom on the ground floor was particularly useful since my 82yr old father is not great with stairs. The house is a 3 min walk to the beach but does not have a direct view of the beach if having a view is important to you.

Beach Blanket is spacious with plenty of room to accommodate a large group. The kitchen had all the appliances and amenities that we needed. It is a short walk to the Three Sister's beach, which is vey nice. Beach views are from the upper bedrooms. The lower deck balcony is a nice escape from the late afternoon sun. Enjoyable stay at The Beach Blanket - well appointed, comfortable house, 1 minute walk to beautiful beach. Only negative, out of house owners control, is construction on going in front of house. Brought in a local chef for an evening as recommended by house managers. He was excellent.

Perfect Family Home

What a lovely place to stay for a week in paradise! This house worked perfectly for our family of 7! The kitchen was well equipped with all the utensil you could need and we had a sweet surprise in the fridge! Adorable beach decor. Comfortable beds and furniture, huge upstairs bathtub. We had a few minor issues with an upstairs AC unit and the Wi-Fi but both were fixed in less than 24 hours. The only major downfall to this house is that they are building a brand new home directly behind it so the ocean view from the back porch is pretty obstructed, however there are still great views from both bedroom balconies and the beach is less than a minute walk from the back door. Highly recommend! Would stay here again! Thank you Beach Blanket and staff for a memorable vacation.

Perfect way to unwind and treat the kids after a year of on-line school!!

Our family of 7 totally enjoyed our stay at Beach Blanket. I was drawn to the bright and lively colors of the decor from the online photos and the house did not disappoint. Each room had a personality of its own and it was hard to choose a favorite among them. The home owners did well to catch the beach vibe. Whether on our boating tour through the cays or just visiting the famous Tropic of Cancer beach, the house was well stocked with beach equipment for our travels and we wanted for nothing. The walk to the beach was short and littered with native trees along the way, willing us to come back again when they would be bearing fruit. The beach was beautiful and we often had it to ourselves. The waves were soothing to listen to from the patio, the only thing missing was a hammock. All the appliances worked well and we followed the advice of a previous guest and brought our keurig pods just in case. The kitchen was fully stocked if you prefer to cook but we enjoyed sampling the local fare of which Blu on the Water Restaurant was a favorite. Loved that the home was a mere 10 minutes from the airport and welcoming host Onike made sure we had everything that we needed with lots of advice for restaurant choices. Somehow, we didn't manage to catch a single sunset during our stay,..........so I guess we'll have to come back!!!!
