Gaylord-Otsego Fall-Winter 2026. Rent 2 nights- 2 nights free.

A big family cottage, over 2,500 of living space. Never been rented to until recently. Great for two families. Located on north end of Otsego Lake-best view of the entire lake. Private setting with state land marsh across the street. 100 feet of lake frontage. Open living room, dining room and kitchen. Plus four bedrooms and one bath in main part of cottage. Then off the kitchenk and a long hallway is a bunk room with a L-shaped coach and two bunk beds and another bathroom. Then off that part of the cottage is a 2 1/2 car garage to store snow mobiles or put sports equipment. Includes-linens, flatware, a charcoal grill, six kayaks and life vests, and two canoes A private dock for fishing. Place to put in kayaks and canoes. Unable to swim in front of cottage. Renters normally go to State Park to swim. Washer and dryer, dishwasher and microwave. Two flat screen TVs and cable. No pets allowed

Winter wonderland

Great Spot for Relaxing Getaway

We had a group of 5 adults and 9 children and this was a great place for us to relax, fish, grill, and hang out around the fire pit. The owner communicated well with us and checked on us when he heard there were storms that knocked out power at some homes in the area (we didn’t lose power). Thanks for a great stay, would definitely rent again.

Bob is a great host the only issue you we had was the dock was kinda short for the pontoon we rented but it worked. Will rent again we absolutely loved having a fire pit and kayaks and plenty of room for everyone

Always a good time

It would be hard to find a place that size and location for a better price. Plenty of room inside and out for our family of adults. Bob is always great to work with and available via text for any needs or questions.

It was nice waking up on the water everyday

Short drive Petoskey skybridge I was able to bring a boat and fish the lake it was nice having two living rooms with multifamily

Very Relaxing

Sleeping arrangements more than needed and worked well for our family. Great fire pit, everyone enjoyed the kayaks. More than needed of paper products and great selection of dishes. Wonderful laundry facilities.

Annual Golf Outing with College Buddies

Location was perfect to play the Tree Tops golf courses. The property is at the north end of Otsego Lake and has a spectacular view. Comfortably fit our group of 10. Excellent communication with owner to stay informed.

Snowmobile weekend

Bob is a great host. The home was very clean and perfect size for us (10 adults). Location is everything, and this location is absolutely perfect for snowmobiling. The trail is literally right across the street. Very close to bars and restaurants as well. Will definitely be staying here in the future again.

Otsego Lake Rental

Great stay on the north end of Otsego Lake! Very large rental with room to spread out. Quiet neighborhood. The only negative is that kids can’t swim in front of the cottage, but that is mentioned in the listing so we were expecting to go to the State park. Great rental!

Another Great Stay!

Our third year staying at the cottage and six old friends again very much enjoyed our stay. Bob is great at communicating before, during and after our time in Gaylord. Everything works, is clean and any issue, a phone call will resolve. We will be returning again next year. Thanks Bob!

Coming back for a 6th year !

Bob is very accommodating. It’s not ritzy but when you consider everything you get a lot for the money. I already booked next year for our 6th visit. The 2 separate living areas is great if you have 2 families or you want to give the kids one and you have your own private area. There’s no beach but the state and county parks are just a few miles away and are very nice. The boat launch is at the county park so it’s close. Shopping is close to all the big box stores and close to the small downtown stores. The fishing is good after you find the right spots and the lake is 5 miles long so a lot of opportunity for boating activities. Traverse city, Mackinac are not that far if you would like to make visits. Overall a good place at a good price !

We’ve been coming here at least 5 years. It’s been very good for our needs and budget. If you’re looking for plush this may not be your style but it you need lots of room on the lake with a dock and close to shopping and town, this may be your place. The owner is very accessible and accommodating to our needs.

Great location for a snowmobile weekend

House is close to gas, parts, food, etc., and the trail head is only a few hundred feet away. Plenty of room for people and sleds.
