Overall we enjoyed our stay and the fabulous view from the top of the mountain, along with the view of fireworks during New Years! The cabin was clean and the jacuzzi had fresh water, had clean towels, extra sheets for the beds, and plenty parking space outside. What we did NOT enjoy was the drive up the mountain: Renatta Way is a one-way, curvy, long and extremely steep paved road with a rock wall on one side and a cliff on the other. Luckily we did not encounter a car coming from the opposite way and no snow or ice while we were there. If it snows rest assure that you would be stuck up there even with a 4x4 vehicle unless this private 45-degree switch back road is salted - if it does it would be an important note to be added by the owner specially for winter stays. All beds are queen size and could use new mattresses, and hopefully larger ones, specially the loft bed. The loft bed is very noisy and uncomfortable.
We had to purchase mattress pads for both beds while there. There is hardly any kitchen condiments - not a turn-off but it is nice to arrive at a cabin and have at least the basics like sugar, creamer and coffee. If you are looking for a stunning view of the city this is a great cabin to stay, but if you are like us and like a good night sleep and don’t want to run the risk of being stuck in a snowy road on vacation, this may not be the cabin for you.
