Hunzepark Family Retreat

Cozy Waterfront Chalets for All Seasons
Nestled within the peaceful Hunzepark in Gasselternijveen, these charming chalets offer a relaxing getaway right by the water. Whether you're visiting as a couple, family, or small group, you can choose between 4-, 5-, or 6-person accommodations—each with a private terrace, garden furniture, and calming green surroundings. The simply furnished interiors provide everything you need, including a fully equipped kitchen (with a dishwasher in select chalets), comfortable bedrooms, and a cozy living area with a TV for quiet evenings in.

Splash, Stroll, and Soak Up the Scenery
Guests have access to a shared outdoor pool from early May to mid-September, ideal for sunny days and family fun. For cooler months, the nearby subtropical swimming paradise at Holiday Park Hunzedal (just a 15-minute drive away) offers year-round aquatic enjoyment. Love the outdoors? Explore the surrounding woodlands and riverside trails—perfect for scenic walks with your furry friend, as pets are warmly welcomed here!

Dine Local, Relax Fully
Take your pick from local dining gems in the nearby villages of Borger and Assen, where pet-friendly terraces and cozy Dutch cafés await. After a day of exploring, return to your chalet to unwind on the terrace, enjoy a lakeside sunset, or plan your next adventure. Whether you're here to hike, unwind, or simply soak up nature with your pet by your side, Hunzepark is a peaceful haven for all.
