Highlands at its best

The property sits 6 miles to the west of Garve, it is advised to have transport as the property is very rural with only two buses a day & the nearest train station is at Garve. Please look at the drone video which shows exactly where we are are the surrounding countryside. The accommodation sleeps 8 people in 3 bedrooms & has two shower bathrooms. one of which is ensuite to the master bedroom, the other is a family bathroom. The beds are either 5ft King-sized beds or 3ft single beds. All the beds have coverless duvets that are washed after every guest ensuring we provide the most fresh & clean experience possible. There are a selection of bath toiletries supplied along with a bathrobe & slippers for your enjoyment. There are rear grounds that go down to the banks of the River Black Water where guests can sit & enjoy the peaceful clam of the river & the beauty of the surrounding mountains, or be served a meal from the bar. The accommodation is self-catering but breakfast is provided (selection of cereals, bread, jam or marmalade, teas, coffee, butter and milk) with a fully equipped kitchen & a separate Lounge/Diner. A Smart TV is in the lounge with access to Netflix and Disney+, guests can load their own accounts onto the smart TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with coffee machine, air fryer, cooker, kettle, microwave and dishwasher. There is electric heating in the property ensuring a snug experience even in the coldest of months. There is a laundrette with coin operated washing machines & tumble dryers to deal with the heaviest of demands.

The Property sits in the very heart of the Highlands & is an excellent based from where to go & see all the sights, to visit all the attractions, from fairytale castles or the castle of that 'Scottish Play', battlefields, waterfalls, the gorge, walk the Munros, cycle or drive the scary roads round Applecross or travel round & see the places where films and TV programmes

  • Corrieshalloch Gorge shows the formidable forces of nature at their most impressive. It is a slot gorge, or box-canyon, cut by glacial meltwater between 2.6 million and 11,500 years ago. Through its narrow and steep-sided length flows the water of the River Droma, dropping 100m over the course of its 1.25km journey in a series of waterfalls, the most dramatic of which is the 45m Falls of Measach. For many, the highlight of a visit is a walk across the bridge and the deep chasm below. Spanning just over 25m from ledge to ledge the bridge sways gently in the wind, providing an exhilarating experience! It was built in 1874 by Sir John Fowler, one of the designers of the famous Forth Rail Bridge.

Property was recently remodeled and was comfortable. Very good food at the pub located on the property. Access to the bathroom was through the master bedroom which was odd.
