The staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Although I think the hotel rooms and shared spaces could get some upgrades the service was very kind and this made it overall an enjoyable stay.

Beautiful hotel with exceptional service

After I had to change hotels I chose to come to the Yangthang Heritage. Not only did the accept my last minute booking but also prepared a room immediately. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful with painted carvings throughout and is only a short walk to the market road. The dining was very good. The true highlight of my stay was the service. The service was exceptional and above and beyond anywhere I've stayed. If my travels ever return me to Gangtok the Yangthang Heritage will be my first stop.

The location of the property is extremely weird for some reason. While the main MG road is probably just 20 meters from the back of the building, one has to climb up steep and again walk down for about 20 Mins ! Very exhausting and frustrating so one would think 5 times before going for this ridiculous exercise. Wonder why the owners are unable to negotiate with one of the properties behind exclusively for their guests to simply walk past a 4 feet lane way so they can come and go in 2 Mins and not climb up and down for 20 Mins each time !
