Cute place for a getaway!

We stayed here for a quick getaway for our 2 year wedding anniversary. It was nice and peaceful, loved the back screened in porch to sit on in the evenings! The bikes were a great plus to cruise around on. It’s nice and close to the beach as well :) we would definitely stay here again!

Excellent House- Highly Recommend

LOVE this house. It was very comfortable and had any and everything you could ever need. It is beautifully decorated and has a very cozy feel to it. Bikes and helmets in the garage is a huge plus! Highly Recommend.

Amazing home with everything you could need!

We came to Galveston for Texas A&M Galveston parents weekend! This home was prefect. All the necessities you could even want or need! Such a great feel and flow throughout the whole home! Would definitely stay here again!

Great stay at this cute little house that had everything we needed. Will definitely want to go back and stay again on our next trip to Galveston. The property managers were very helpful and always responded quickly to our questions.

Beautiful and comfortable home

My daughter and I had a perfect long weekend in this beautifully renovated and decorated home. It was immaculately clean and comfortable, and the hosts had thought of every detail. It couldn’t have been any better!

The house is very comfortable and well-decorated. The hosts have covered the details. I loved the screened back porch in particular. Bonus: I had all of the kitchen equipment I needed, and sharp knives!

True home away from home

The house was charming and sparkling clean. It had lovely furnishings, and generous amenities. Everything you would need is provided from kitchen utensils, pots and pans to beach gear and bikes. We loved the 2 bed to 2 bath set up as well and the adorable screened porch. We will absolutely stay at The Blue Pelican again and highly recommend it to family and friends.

Last min family vacation

We had a great stay here. My only complaint was the pull out couch. It was very bent and we couldn't pull it out. I emailed the property manager and they immediately got back to me. The house was fully stocked with more than you could ever need. Would definitely stay there again.

Cute and comfy getaway

Our families time at the Blue Pelican was wonderful. It's a cute house, tastefully decorated yet very beachy. It was clean and easy to find everything we needed. We appreciated the kitchen that was stocked with not only basic necessities but extras that made our time more enjoyable. The backyard, screened porch and outdoor shower were very nice to have. We look forward to staying here again! We will also look for other A Stay Above the Rest properties because they were easy to work with, kind and responsive. BTW the care taken in the landscaping is a sweet bonus.

exactly what we needed

We needed a house that offered private workspace - this one delivered superbly! Each bedroom has a small desk area and the screened-in patio were perfect for our needs; though it was a little too cool for the patio on this trip. Cooking in the kitchen was easy and fun. Cookware and other utensils were top notch! If we needed it, it was provided. Beds were very comfy. We also needed a space that was handicap accessible - once up the short flight of porch steps, it served our needs (visiting elderly parent who uses a walker). Looking forward to scheduling another visit!

This is one of the best equipped vrbos we've ever visited. The host thought of everything from kitchen needs to books and games. Decorated like a nice home not a motel room like many other sites. Highly recommend and will visit again

Slice of Heaven

Let me say that we have stayed at a plethora of rental properties on the island and none of them have come close to the wonderful experience we had in this home. This place has it all! It is unbelievably well thought out. Everything you could ever need is here. They have beach chairs, umbrellas, ice chests, bikes and helmets! They even had umbrellas for rainy days (came in handy for us because it rained a few times) and a pack and play for a baby if you needed it. All the way down to food and water bowels for your dogs. The back and front yards are fenced in, perfect for your fur babies! The inside of the home is very clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped with every kitchen gadget you could ever need. I litterally did not need to bring half of the stuff I brought because they had it there. The A/C ran fantastically! The screened in back porch was amazing for the rainy days! I kept telling my husband that I couldn't believe how well thought out this place was. The house is positioned in the perfect location. All of our favorite places were a super short drive away. The beach was about a 15 minute walk away. I could go on and on about how fabulous this house was. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone! We will definitely be booking again! Did I mention how unbelievably well thought out this place was!!!

Enjoyed our stay

The house itself was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. I was concerned about the location. We could smell a young man smoking pot in the apartment in the ally behind us. The drive way is so steep that I would hit the front of my truck on the pavement when backing out. It was hard backing out with cars parked across the street from us. The walk in shower needs a handle to get in and out for us old people. We loved the house and it was very nice ! Thank you !
