Our group stayed here for a weekend in Galveston, and while the property itself was beautiful and generally clean, we unfortunately had several issues that made the stay very disappointing. Upon arrival, we discovered there was no hot water, the oven didn’t work, ice machine didn't work and we noticed several roaches in the kitchen area. The home looks amazing — and that’s what we paid for — but the functionality and maintenance were far below expectations.We had to call for maintenance multiple times during our short stay just to get the hot water fixed. I want to give special recognition to Eugene, who was professional, respectful, and very patient as he worked to resolve the problems. His help was appreciated.This was especially embarrassing for us as we were hosting new members and their families for our club’s annual Galveston event — a mandatory tradition for our mostly retired, veteran-based motorcycle organization. The broken oven disrupted our plans to cook and share meals together, something that’s very meaningful to us as a group. It also caused a financial hardship since we had to cover unexpected meal expenses for our members and their families.In summary, while the property itself was clean and beautiful, the lack of working amenities and the presence of roaches made this stay stressful and disappointing. For the price, we expected everything to be in proper working order. I hope the owners address these issues.
