Stayed for 8 days Unfortunately when I got my confirmation we were on the third floor pretty high 6 flights of stairs no lifts which we were unaware of so something to consider when booking Bed was comfortable room cleaned every third day also towels were replaced Kitchen was small but ok except the small microwave was on a shelf about 5 and half feet high so you would need to step stool to safely use it but no step stool provided It was convenient close to Madeira mall and super market pretty central for most things Fruit and fish market and old town was 20 minutes walk away

The room and beds were very clean. Not enough space to store clothes for 9 days. We had to live out of our suitcases. There was also a lot of ants on the floor.

A superb apartment in a very central location for down town Funchal. Spotlessly clean and well equipped with an exceptionally comfortable bed. Balcony view from our room 20 wasn’t great, but it was very private and it did benefit from the early morning sunshine which was lovely. We would definitely use these apartments again for our next visit to Maderia.

I felt at home at Vila Alegria during my six night stay. I really enjoyed getting to know the staff. They were kind and went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable and had what I needed. I stayed in the superior studio and highly recommend it. This was the perfect place to celebrate my 50th birthday! I look forward to another stay! Thank you so much, Vila Alegria!
