Charming guesthouse, staff were friendly and helpful. In a great location within a couple minutes of the waterfront and restaurants. It’s an older building so don’t expect anything fancy but the room was comfortable and clean.

Great place that had a historic vibe. Breakfast was incredible and reception was so helpful! They are in the process of upgrading but outside of the small shower it had everything you need to have a great stay in Funchal! Clean and comfy beds!

Great location, very helpful and accommodating staff. Building is older and could use some updating; however everything works as it should and you have what you need. The owners are updating the building room by room so it won't be long until it is exceptional. Breakfast is reasonably priced (9 Eu) and is good, no bells or whistles but something for most. Overall it's a great place for a good price and the location is perfect.

The property is filled with character. It was converted to a guest house in 1961 and the decor has very interesting fittings and furniture. Our room was very comfortable and quiet with a small balcony with sea views. The location was excellent too, just above the Sao Tiago fort with small beach just a few minutes away. Daniel was a great host and the ladies who assist were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely with a great selection, including local fruit. There is a comfortable sitting room on the first floor with a good supply of books. A really exceptional place. We loved it and hope to return.
