Staff was friendly and helpful when checked in, room especially bathroom was spacious and clean. Location is excellent right at the main train station, yet walkable distance to old town, cathedral and shopping area. Overall it’s a great and comfortable stay, will definitely return to this hotel.

Second stay here and every time I walk through the front door you are welcomed by a very pleasant scent, smells so nice and fresh clean. Staff are ever so friendly and helpful. Rooms are generous and clean beds are so comfy and the hotel is so quiet even though it’s located literally steps to the train station

Likes - clean and stylish hotel, warm and friendly staff, very good breakfast, decent iron/ironing board, walkable to most attractions and is also a great base for travel further afield, good to be able to link up phone to tv. Dislikes - limited hot breakfast options, cheap-looking plastic soap dish in bathroom, no USB charge in room.

Newer hotel in a convenient location

Decent sized room (panoramic king) able to open 2 big luggages. Great location, across from main train stn, and short walk to old town. Newer hotel facilities, but need to request for amenities such as room slippers. Supermarket, pharmacy, food all within reach, enjoyed my stay.

Clean/Modern hotel by the train!

I wasn’t initially planning to stay in Freiburg, however very glad I decided to stay the night. I read many travel blogs about Freiburg, and they all seemed to imply finding modern lodging in Freiburg was fairly difficult, and hotels are kind of my thing. This hotel was in prime location for getting in and out of Freiburg, walking distance to Old Town (I arrived on Rosenmontag - had no clue). Staff was VERY NICE, hotel was clean, and the room was quiet.

Excellent property. It was super convenient - across from the train station. We also appreciated that they offered late food service at the bar even on a Sunday night. The room was impeccable and really reasonable by US standards. There’s lots of nearby shopping and you can easily walk all of Freiburg Altstadt from the hotel. There is also parking underneath if needed. Loved it!

Don't think ac means what you think it means.

Staff at the desk was very nice. But the room's air conditioning did not work great, it never got cool which made it difficult to sleep in the summer. It also wasn't really a break from the heat of the outdoors when needed. I know it's Germany, and AC is like nowhere to be found but I booked specifically because it had AC listed. Also, the fridge was warmer than the room. So... made it so we couldn't even really get cold drinks to cool down either. They were good about giving us some ice, but I feel like the fridge should you know, refrigerate. That said, hotel is in a great location near Bahnhof and Stadtmitte. I'm not sure I wouldn't try another hotel nearby that might have better ac, but this option would be fine probably another time of year.
