Kalm by the Beach - Ocean View - Sleeps 14

Located a mere 400 steps or so to the beach, this luxurious two-story, 4 bedroom, 3 bath home will meet all your beach life needs. It has the capacity to sleep up to 14 people comfortably with different areas for adults and young people to relax.

Relax on one of the 2 covered porches/decks or spend time enjoying the open concept living room/kitchen area. The home is completely furnished, with a king size bed in the master, two guest bedrooms with queen beds, and a bunkroom for the children, that has 4 full size beds. A full-sized front-loading washer and dryer on the upper floor is available for your use.

For your entertainment needs, all rooms have large screen TV's with high speed WIFI access and ROKU's for your streaming pleasure. The bunk area has Nintendo WII games to entertain the kids, and there are family games found in the console in the Living Room. All bed linens, towels, soaps, shampoo, conditioner and hair dryers are included. Multiple charging stations are available. With today's busy lives, you may find a need to conduct some business, feel free to plug your device in and use the workstation we have setup.

There is a property management team that is available for your convenience 24x7, every day.

We do ask that no more than 5 cars be present onsite, unless advance permission has been granted.

If you plan to stay in and cook, the kitchen has a built-in air fryer stove, a pressure cooker, blender, and toaster oven, as well as cooking utensils available for your use.

Should you wish to explore the area, our check-in tablet system will provide you with access to local amenities (grocery delivery, local hot spots and scenic surfside restaurants). There is easy access to walk the area, or if you need more activities, Lake Jackson is a short 20-minute drive away.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a Short-Term Rental. A $95 fee for accidental insurance coverage for up to $5,000 in accidental damage will be added to all rentals. Also, the property owners have security cameras installed on the outside of the home.

Great House For A Large Group

The house is very spacious with plenty of seating in the kitchen and family room and outside. The refrigerator, washer, and dryer were very nice and on the larger size which accommodated a lot of food and washing beach towels. The bedrooms are nice with good size closets and the beds are comfortable. The property manager was extremely prompt in responding to issues and fixing them!! I would suggest bringing some extra bath towels as there are not are not enough if you have several people. We had just enough and there were 3 adult females, 2 adults males, and 2 children. The description on the VRBO website is accurate. We did have to bring our own grill. The only negative, and it did not stop us from having a great time, is the kitchen drawers, cabinets, and refrigerator should be cleaned a little better in between guests. The floors were clean and the bathrooms were very clean. I would definitely book this house again!

Surfside 2024

The property was nice and in great shape, seeing as the island just experienced hurrican Beryl. We enjoyed the house and its location in terms of the beach and stores. The air conditioner seemed to stuggle the first few nights but after it caught up it worked great. All in all depending on the size of my group I would recommend this property for your visit.

The Perfect Beach Huddle

Family weekend stay

It was a very nice stay - I didn't know they counted 8 to a room, its good if its that many kids but when its more adults then kids, its not as convenient. It was clean, and the management team kept in touch for issues that may arise.

Friends and Family Vacay

Our family and two others stayed for a great long weekend and had a fantastic stay! We had 11 people from age 1.5 to almost 40. The beds were very comfortable and there was enough space in the house that we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. The walk to the beach was easy for all in attendance. H‑E‑B was able to deliver to the house too! We would definitely book another stay at the KALM on the Beach!

Great setting for family fun!

The property was just as listed. The beach was a short walk away located on the “drive on beach.” This is important because while it was a short walk, carrying all the stuff made it feel longer. We used the truck to drop off things and pickup at the end of the day. That worked well for us. The road it is on dead ends and so there is not much traffic. Overall the house was very comfortable, had the needed items in the kitchen to cook and plenty of seating on both balconies. Checking in and out was a breeze!

Great get away

We had a quick beach get away with kids and family and it was so perfect and peaceful. The house was spacious and equipped with all items needed. The communication with the property owner was great!!! Thank you again for hosting me and my family you gave us a great experience and we will definitely be booking here again and telling our friends!!!!

Relaxing Stay

We had a very relaxing weekend. Of course the weather didn't cooperate until our final day. Home was nicely stocked with essential everyday items. My only complaint is the home needs a deep clean, esp. the floors.. This should be done prior to new clients arrival and not have to be requested or noted during their stay. Overall it was a good stay.
