This listing is a Vacasa managed property. If you book through VRBO, you will end up paying extra money that you will not be able to get back no matter what, even if Vacasa gives you a refund for some of their portion. A natural disaster caused a power failure at this home 5 hours into our stay and would not be repaired for multiple days, leaving us in 40° weather with no power, heat or water. Couldn't flush toilets, wash hands, cook, warm the home or charge our devices. We had no option but to leave the following morning, as there is no generator in this home and we had a 9 month old baby with us. Ultimately, we ended up paying a LOT of money to stay in this home for 5 hours with power and 14 hours without power before evacuating. It's unfortunate, because the home is lovely with wonderful views and the owners seem nice based on the evidence of the house manual. If we had a direct line of communication with them instead of having to work through VRBO and Vacasa, we likely would have had a better resolution to a weather emergency that was no fault of ours or the homeowner. We were looking forward to a few nights in this lovely home. I suggest you not book this place during the fall or winter until a generator is installed, considering the likelihood of future weather events like this increasing due to climate change.
