About this property
Heiser Haus I Terrific for 2 Couples | 3.5 Blocks to Main St.
Perfectly renovated and flawlessly decorated, the Heiser Haus is one of two 1920s “twin” homes that were moved from their original Fredericksburg locations. This gorgeous home has an abundance of historic charm along with all the comfort, elegance and convenience you need.
When you drive up to Heiser Haus, you can't help but feel greeted by it's cheerful blue exterior and bold orange door. Once inside, you'll feel right at home with hard wood floors throughout and comfortable yet luxurious furnishings. Two large cream sofas are both situated perfectly to enjoy the flat screen TV. A cozy set of stairs leads you up to the Master Suite where you'll find a locally hand forged King size bed with well-appointed linens. The en suite bath has both a soaking tub and a walk-in shower and is played up with a crystal chandelier and sconces. The downstairs King sized bedroom and bath are equally magnificent, so no need to argue over which couple gets which suite.
Because we know you'll never want to leave this cozy haven to eat, there is also a fully equipped, modern farm house style kitchen with seating for four. Through the kitchen, you can access your own private backyard where you and your friends can sit and visit around the firepit and each have your own relaxing Adirondack chair.
In case you would like to venture out and experience everything Fredericksburg has to offer, Heiser Haus is just a short walk to Main St by way of a foot bridge that's accessible from the park across the street.

My wife and I had a fun visit in Fredericksburg this past week. The Heiser Haus was wonderful located within walking distance to Main St. We plan to return in the Spring.
We had a lovely get away with another couple. It’s the perfect house for 2 couples. It was close to Main Street and we were able to walk or uber home. What a great 4 day getaway. Thank you for hosting us will definitely be back!

Peaceful retreat
We really enjoyed our stay at the Heiser House. The place is very comfortable for 2 couples and very quiet at night. Check in/out process was fast. I will definitely recommend it.
We had a wonderful stay at this quaint and charming house. Its close proximity to Main Street made dining, shopping, and nightlife easy. The house was clean and comfortable, with a reasonably stocked kitchen. Perfect for a relaxing getaway! Highly recommend for anyone looking for convenience and charm.
It was festively decorated for the holiday
The house was clean and it was apparent the host attended to details to make guests feel more comfortable
Neighborhood was quiet
We would definitely stay again
My wife and I, along with another couple, stayed here for a 3-day weekend and really enjoyed the stay. Close to main street with a walking bridge over the creek. House was very cozy with lots of little touches that made it feel like home. Beds were very comfortable too. Early moring deer watching (lots of them) on the front porch was an added bonus. Will stay here again on our next visit...

Charming and Cozy Perfection!
We weekend in Fredericksburg 2-3 times a year and Heiser Haus just topped the list of favorite accommodations! Perfect location: While only a short walk to main, it is located on a short, quiet street. It faces a small park which is backed by a creek and we saw deer every morning and evening. We loved learning the history of the house, as well as the comfortable amenities and charming and nostalgic decor. It was simply perfection. We will definitely stay again!
We enjoyed our stay in this cute little house near the Main St In Fredericksburg. Everything was easy to get to in town. The house was just right for 3 people (or even 4). The stairs were a little challenging because they are steep and narrow. But otherwise everything was comfortable and our stay was excellent.
The home was very nice. Exactly as pictured, beds were very comfortable, heater was a little tricky but the owners were super helpful and nice. There is a small park with a creek the street for walks. I highly recommend it
Great location and the property was very well decorated and supplied with very comfortable beds. Only challenge was access to the upstairs bedroom, the stairs were extremely steep. The house was a bit musty until the dehumidifiers ran for a while.
The house was cute and clean. Private driveway. It was easy to pick up and leave the key. It was about a 10 minute walk to main. The stairs to the second bedroom could be a little tricky to navigate if you’re tall, but I’m 5’6” so I only had to duck a little. The floor in the downstairs bedroom is a little slippery so be careful if you wear socks to bed and have to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. We couldn’t get the tv to work. We did call the owner, who was very sweet and more than happy to help, but we really didn’t need it because we spent so much time downtown, by the time we got home all we really wanted to do was go to bed, so we were really only in the house to sleep. Overall, I’d book again.
Had a great time at this property. Every detail was considered including blankets for lounging on the couch, comfortable linens, fluffy towels (and a lot of them), and a fully equipped kitchen. The decor was very charming and perfect for a weekend in the Texas Wine Country. The property owners said they have been working on making the house comfortable in terms of temperature and you can see the evidence of that. It’s difficult to do in an older home that was built before central AC existed. During the 100 degree summer temps, we had all the AC units and dehumidifiers going. We noticed some temp differences where some rooms were a lot warmer than others, but again, you can tell that there have been investments in this area. As far as location goes, we were within walking distance to the town’s Main Street in a quiet neighborhood, across from a park. The Main Street is long, so be aware you’ll be on the end closer to Hondo’s. I actually like that area a lot, but some people like to be on the other end. We come to Fredericksburg several times a year, and I would definitely visit the property again and any of the other properties run by the property owner.
We overall loved the home and would stay again. I would just warn people that the 2nd floor addition while roomy and darling requires traversing stairs that are a bit shallow compared to most feet snd have a sharp turn with low headroom. I’m only 5-6 and wear a size 8 shoe and I had a difficult time on the stairs. I couldn’t stay upstairs for that reason but the downstairs bedroom was great. While the room was on the small side it had a king sized bed which most would appreciate. My favorite part of the house was its proximity to a wooded area where deer lived and we had morning and evening visits from them daily. This home although updated throughout had tasteful vintage decor. Both baths had deep soaker tubs and upstairs had a beautiful large tiled separate shower. The kitchen was well equipped whether you only wanted to heat in the microwave and make coffee or planned to cook a full meal. Counter space was limited though so I personally wouldn’t plan to do much cooking. The host provided extras in the kitchen though like breakfast bars, coffee and flavored creamers. Fredericksburg’s tourism industry has grown much since our last visit 8 years ago so the downtown streets were crowded from about 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. but filled with lots of shops and wine tasting rooms. It reminded me of New Orleans on a smaller scale minus the strip clubs. I doubt we’ll return because it has become too commercialized for our taste.
We enjoyed our stay. The house was great. Location was perfect. The house was very clean and comfortable.

A Wonderful Experience
Heiser House is a very comfortable cottage, situated in a quiet area of Fredericksburg, across from a pretty little park with a running stream. The house is cozy and very clean. The hosts have thought of almost everything one could want for a stay away from home. We especially enjoyed having a fire outdoors at the firepit. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen stocked with anything you would need, including coffee and tea. Can't wait to return!
We rented this place to spend the holidays with family. It was a great place and decorated so cute for the holidays. Great location and easily walkable to town. They accurately promote this as a perfect property for two couples. One comment would be if a person had any mobility issues, this may not be the property for them. The beds were high and the shower downstairs was in a deep tub that could be hard to get into.
