Franeker is a interesting litte town with a rich history. "downtown" you will find the the world's oldest functioning planetarium. It was build by Eise Eisinga in his living room, partly to prove the end of the world was not near at all. "We had a wonderful stay here and the staff on site was super helpful and friendly. We did have an issue with mosquitoes being in the house and bitting us at night, but I think that could be easily solved. Overall, we loved the place and our experience. The setting and feeling of the place was wonderful."

"Super cute place , loved the interieur ,cozy fireplace. Nice view right on the water. The only thing that was not nice at our stay was the weather. Would go again in summer ! perfect little place to relax and it was nice it sleeps 6 . Friendly staff , would recommend definitely"
